| At the base of this tree here I sit Looking for words in a rhyme to fit For I am a bard and desire to sing Whatever emotion my words to your heart may bring I surely can tell you what you dream And I shall tell tales from where I have been But now my songs are over, in rest they are So whilst I sit here my thoughts dwell off far Back from this wonderful place where all is alive Far away from trouble, war and strife Many thoughts cross my mind, whilst in this magic space The birds, trees and flowers all reflect nature's face And she stares at me with eyes so pure of gold With a piercing sight which penetrates the soul so cold Truly now I feel part of everything here Away with all doubts, set away all fear For all songs that ever were sung by me Does not compare with this wonder that be And now all my songs are due, away with all But always shall she catch me if I'd ever fall 'cos for the length of days to this place I shall return My desire for these special grounds my heart shall burn But just for now I'll just sit here Amongst the trees and green which I hold so dear So maybe I'll sing another song of it Because now I've finally found the words to fit |
