Pierced

My heart is pierced, but my soul will live on
Ascending to higher life
A raging calm in my head moving me to tears
And it makes me feel alive

Dreams are useless, they never gave me any hope
It was the least I did expect
Then Cassandra awaked for a moment
And the world breathed again, no-one fell silent

"Bring forth yeself"
An old man replied
Unfinishing the poem
He died

My heart is pierced, but my soul will live on
Ascending to higher life
A raging calm in my head moving me to tears
And it makes me feel alive

Prepare the nails and set up the cross
Hit the victim and make him God
A blood-red Sunrise over the Great Sea
The last what this pierced spirit ever saw

"Place the stake"
The crowd pronounced
On an altar of blood
He died

My heart is pierced, but my soul will live on
Ascending to higher life
A raging calm in my head moving me to tears
And it makes me feel alive
