A Wiccan tale - A child of nature
22nd of October, 2001
In the gloomy forest I walk
Whilst the Sun is setting low
And brings forth an eerie glow
On the wolds where I'm destined to go

Nature seems to call upon me
And so I shall obey
Amidst an open clearance I stand
And then my chanting starts

Faring well, to unknown destiny
Say farewell, leave this realm behind
Follow me, shed your worries off
Have faith in me, I know you will

I call upon you
Persephone, gracious Goddess
Let my prayers please be heard
And bless me with thine will
Free is my being
Uncaged is my spirit
I am proud to be one
A Child of Nature

And shall my tears shape a sea on which your boat can reach me?
And where it'll end, I do not know
I'll go

Creatures of the night gather round
Drawn by my desperate calls
Hands both raised to the sky
As my soul yearns for the Lady

A final breath is taken here
Come take a look at the sky
On wings of flame I carry mine forth
To place myself 'tween the stars

Faring well, to unknown destiny
Say farewell, leave this realm behind
Follow me, shed your worries off
Have faith in me, I know you will

I call upon you
Persephone, gracious Goddess
Let my prayers please be heard
And bless me with thine will
Free is my being
Uncaged is my spirit
I am proud to be one
A Child of Nature
