trust

on trying to trust

It is as natural as molten lava creeping down a mountain for a human like myself to have faith in a higher essence. Natural like a leaf needs sun light. So why then this night do i recall these words:

i look for the presence that reaffirms my trust
and i look up to the tree
i look for presence in its branches
and i look to the sky beyond the tree
and i look for the trust in the stars
and i look for it in the rain that falls on me
and i look for the trust in its droplets.

night can be seen as a negative, hence the saying dark night of the soul but also night is when the ghosts come out and send their messages and night is when we feel like we can dance and drink wine until we
cry.

night time is when doubt appears the most. night time is when evil is not as scared to rear its ugly head and shake up people like people sometimes need to be shaken up.

night is also trust's greatest triumph. we feel the strength of the greatest river and most wicked mountain and a break through, which always tends to connote light, shines forth in the darkness.
