X-Man of the Year
What to say... it was a pretty big year in the world of X-Men... not that i've really had a chance to keep up. From what i do know, it's been a pretty huge year for this year's X-Man of the Year: Chamber.
So... Chamber. I'll start by giving you a bit of background info, since i'm pretty sure most of my MotY readers aren't avid followers of the X-Men. Chamber is English, real name Jonothon Starsmore. His mutant power came on him unexpectedly during a date, blowing up half of his body (thus the turtleneck that would make Carson scream "AGH! I NEED TO ZUGE YOU!" ... kidding... i don't think i even spelled it right) and the legs of his girlfriend. Sweet, eh? So thusly, he can't talk with his mouth, needs to use telepathy and the like. He was recruited into Xavier's School of Gifted Youngsters and Generation X along with Jubilee some other kids and his love interest Husk. It's been a few years since that group broke up, and Chamber and Husk joined the main ranks of the X-Men. Recently, Husk has taken up an interest in our most elligibly rich bachelor, Archangel, prompting Chamber to be pretty jealous. He had a bad blow-up in a local bar, which sent him to jail, and got him recruited by Weapon X. That makes me sad... sad that such hotness is now... in Weapon X... James Howell... oh, wait, you're not supposed to know about that. Oh, of course, his power isn't immediately obvious, now, is it? It's "projection of bio-blasts from his torso" and some limited telepathy, as stated above. Nifty, eh?
