It has been my experiance that A bird saver works time and time again.
It saves the lives of young birds many times.
I have seen it in action and I know that it works. It works when you are not
there, also, 24-7. This seems to be what happens.
I have a big bird feeder near several windows. This attracts them into the area.
Young birds have little experiance
in navigating around confusing obstacles,
especially a mirrored window. The reflection disorients them when they attempt
to fly from any disruption or predator in the area. In their panic they strike
the window because it's mirrored appearance
fools them into beleiving that it
is an escape route. In reality it is a deception that breaks their neck upon impact!
I built my own bird saver to prevent this from happening. I hate seeing such a beautiful
young bird's life so tragically
ended so soon from something it does not know anything about.
The screening of the bird saver breaks down the attractive
reflection of the window
and this deters the birds from flying into them. If they do fly into them
a netting effect will
muffle and absorb the birds energy of motion
just enough to prevent the tragedy. The distance of the screening from the surface
of the window is key to intercepting the bird in flight so that
the problem is solved without incident to any bird.
Prior to installing my own low cost bird saver window shield I was seeing
3 or 4 tragedies per summer. Now I have NONE !!
I have never had any bird strike my windows and break it's neck since I installed the bird saver.
It works remarkably
well and I have seen it in action many times.
It does the job instantly without injury to most birds. It is hard to
argue with success,
especially when success is cheap! I have had mine in service for 3 years without one tragedy!
My
bird feeders see a lot of traffic so I know what I am talking about.
This works. Period.
