I hear we are going to hit close to $4.25 a gallon by the summer. Want gasoline prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united action.
Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea: Thanks Phil! It will work if everyone gets onboard. This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day" campaign that was going around a while ago! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work. Please read it and join with us!
By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at about $1.50 is super cheap. Me too! It is currently near $4 for gas in my town. Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.50-$1.75, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace.... not sellers. With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.
How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war.
Here's the idea:
For the rest of this year, DON"T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.
But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon and Mobil gas buyers. It's really simple to do!! Now, don't wimp (sic) out on me at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!
I am sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!
Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people and DON"T purchase ANY gasoline from EXXON and MOBIL. That's all.
How long would all that take? If each of us sends this email out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!! I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you! Acting together we can make a difference.

P.S. from Natureiswonderful.com I remember when you could get a little respect from the oil companies. They would hire someone to wash your windows or check your oil and other fluids. You could even get your head lights washed if you were polite about it. Now, they don�t have time for our problems and they rob us twice by making us supply the labor to pump our own fuel! Truck drivers need to rest at their fuel stops but the oil giants don�t give a shit about working folk! Fatigued Drivers pump their own in preference to getting 20 minutes of R and R from the road to catch a sandwich or to wash up. Big Oil CEOs have become a real bunch of cold hearted sleezoids! They have been gouging us for way too long.
Listen up! I heard that Sunoco does not buy their oil from opec. They buy from South America. (Don't know if this is really true but it would be a double wammy to add extra zing to this campaign) I know that Hugo Chavez hasn�t been a nice guy to the greedy oil baron capitalists who were trying to suck his country dry but he hasn�t gouged you, your own American CEOs did that! The only thing we have ever heard about the guy was conveniently supplied to us by those in Washington, who by the way, won�t do a damn thing about gas prices! We should buy from south america long enough to put the squeeze on the opec giants. President Bush won�t do anything. He comes from an oil family and has some really Big Oil friends. I say we Devide to conquer this GREED problem!
We can split our purchases between Sunoco and Citco (Citco is definitely south American) who happen to be the competitors of Exxon and Mobil. This will leave Exxon and Mobil dry, and their competitors high. This will spread some of that greed wealth around. Be careful where you buy because those two oil giants (Exxon and Mobil) have many subsidiaries!
And to add a double wammy to the equation, on the 3rd and 4th of july everyone who�s last number in their social security number is odd should call off work on the 3rd and everyone with an even number call off on the 4th. Maybe by then they will learn to take the customer seriously!
If they don�t we can do a double wammy on Halloween to put the scare into them! A Third time is a charm. Everyone could use some X-tra time off for Christmas! No one needs to know about it until it�s all over!

The wild ones are pissed off with the oil giants too. Remember the Super Tanker disaster of the Exxon Valdez in Alaska? That would have never happened if they had been doing the right thing and following the safety regulations. What a shitty mess! It�s not nice to mess with Nature! Pay backs can be a real bitch!
