NIRVA Thai Art & Technology proudly introduces you to one of our best artisan, Wannapan Korkiatthanasuk. Wannapan experts in Carving Mirror and Glass.
Wannapan Korkiatthanasuk and his wife, Kwanarporn, founded their own school of carving mirror in Bangkok, Thailand. Many of their students become carved mirror exporters. Wannapan also works on huge art projects for government, ambassador, hotels: Amari Hotels and Resorts, and international companies: Swensen's and Dewar's.

The process of mirror carving starts from drawing Thai pattern. The drawing can be an event or a character in Ramayana epic. A picture of forrest or animals is also applicable. Next, the artist carves the mirror, which is cleaned and without dust, following the drawing by hand using carve tools. Then, the mirror is etched by Hydrofluoric Acid solutions. After cleaning the mirror, the artisan primes the mirror with 24K Gold Foil or Silver Foil elaborately. |
