Terra Wilder

Untitled

A creaking floor,
Shadows on the wall,
Howl in the trees,
Sounds in the hall.

Monster in the closet,
Or under your bed,
A ghost in the dark,
The voice in your head.

Claws in the distance,
The unseen eyes,
A living fear,
Out of sight lies.

Hands on your eyes,
Fear on the ride,
Crawl under sheets,
And try to hide.

Horror consumes,
The mind will race,
You know that its there,
It does not show a face.

Nerves break,
Hands shake,
You can't sleep,
Must stay awake.

No way to run,
No place to hide,
No escape from fear,
Time it does bide.

You cannot fight,
A dire dream,
You can just sit up,
And to mother scream.
