Passing Time
Life’s not gonna let up,
It’s not gonna let you take a breath.
Sometimes it might feel like a bullet to your chest.
Sometimes you might second-guess.
But just stay up,
Just lift your cup.
Don’t look down.
Don’t ever let anyone see you frown.
Even when someone’s treating you like trash,
In time it will all pass.

Keep your pride,
Stay in stride.
Don’t let it tear you apart,
I know it hurts deep in your heart.
But we’ve all been there,
It’s easy to just not care.
But what will that do?
What will that prove?
Because deep down you still love her,
You will never again be what you were.
It can never be the same,
You will leave just as you came.
Alone, without her.
You will never again be what you were.

What is life in reality?
It’s all just brutality.
It’s all torture and shame,
It’s all just one big evil game.
Life deals you blows,
But that is what makes us row.
It is what makes us better people,
It’s just a big steeple.
Are you ready to climb?
Now it’s your turn!
Now it’s your time!

Act like she doesn’t exist.
Act like you can’t still smell her hair.
Act like she is wrong.
Act like you’re glad she is gone.
Act like she was never here.
Act like you don’t miss her cheer.
Act like she is nobody.
Act like you didn’t cherish every inch of her body
Act like there is still hope.
Act like you can cope.
