Can You Feel It?

Feel the pumping of my feet on this ground so hollow
Feel the earth glide along as I stand in stillness
Feel me climb tumbling peaks and scale falling walls
Feel
Feel
Why can't I feel?
My fingers touch an unsharpened blade and bleed phantom blood
My heart pumps air through hollow veins as I drown on sullied words
Feel
Feel
Why can't I feel?
Where is my home on the range
What is my American dream
Do you know
Do you steal what it is that makes my soul soar
Do you keep me tied down with silk ribbons
Feel
Feel
Why can't I feel?
How does your heart suit you
My own cries tears of lost loves and found joys
How does your love sit in your belly
Is it calm and restful or wild and spiteful
Feel
Feel
Why can't you feel?
Why is your mind draped in indifference and cloaked by shame
How will you be emancipated
Will your evil be ejaculated
When will your love be concentrated
Why does this world beat us black and blue
Why do we beat each other black and blue
Feel
Feel
Why can't we feel?
Where are our Messiahs
I want to be the phoenix
I want to be Lathzerous
I want to burn in holy flame
Burn down to dust only to be resurrected by the same
Fire
Fire so hot and blue
Piercing, Pumping, Pounding
Pounding is that fire
Pounding that burn into your brain
Putting slow hot cinders in your mind
Burning
Feeling
Feeling
Can you feel it?
Can you feel anything?
I can
I can feel worlds growing inside me
Churning burning worlds
Are you learning
Are you listening
Can you hear my heart?
Piercing, Pumping, Pounding
Pounding is my heart
Full of love and fire
Eternal fire
Do you burn?
Can you feel it?
