Nostalgia's Wings

When I am alone at night
I feel a presence near
I know this visitor all too well
It does not bring much cheer.

It comes upon dawn's early light
And leaves whenever it feels
No time to rest for this weary soul
It must work out its deals.

Although this guest does bring some tears
I often find some joy
For with nostalgia you never know
If it's sweet or just to toy.

As I feel its movements quick
Nostalgia moves with grace
For when its wings enclose round me
Sweet tears come to my face.

I know this dear friend means no harm
But I feel pain with me
However I sense a big releif
Nostalgia's wings, set me free.
