    Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 (Import)

    By Jorden

Its been said before and it will be said again. Aki has one of the best wrestling engines in the world. We've seen their North American attempts so lets see what they do in the home country.

    Story: 10

Its wrestling, the story changes as you go! When someone interferes in your match something new happens as a result giving you a new story every time you play!

    Graphics: 8

Blocky/cartoonish but very easy on the eyes. Weapons leave something to be desired as well as the blood but in some eyes those are only minor features as well.

    Game Play: 10

Any one can pick this game up and play it. There are over 50 wrestlers to choose from (including hidden legends such as Terry Funk, Andre the Giant, and Abdula the Butcher to name a few) although only about 20 are officially licensed to be in the game the others have just minor changes and name changes to avoid legal trouble (Taka Michinoku = Michi Takamoku for example).

    Sound: 9

A few more entrance themes would be nice but you get announced, you grunt, yell, and everything else you would do if you were wrestling. Very good job!

    Lasting Value: 10

16 fully editable slots, 8 slots for creating belts, game modes up to wazoo, and an always changing season mode make this game very replayable! Also the ability to create and use catchphrases is very cool. ***WELCOME TO RAW IS JORDEN...***

    Bottom Line

As much as I like my WM2k this is basically the same game but there are enough differences to qualify a purchase. about 50% of the game can be turned into English anyway (must be done manually but its better than nothing). You will need a GS pro or converter to play this game unless you would like to take apart your N64.

Final Score: 9 out of 10 (MICK FOLEY ISN'T A LEGEND MY ASS!!!)
