    Super Smash Brothers

    By Corey

Would you like to see Luigi take the spotlight away from Mario? Ever picture Smaus Aran doing her screw attack to Pikachu? These things and more can become reality (to a certain extent) in Super Smash Brothers!

    Graphics: 7

These aren't the greatest graphics you will ever see. The characters aren't as detailed as their N64 counterparts (if they have N64 counterparts). The moves look rather simple.

    Game Play: 10

This is the simplest fighter you'll ever play. Their aren't a whole lot of moves, but they are easy to preform. The lack of moves isn't completely noticable since you'll be finding items to use all the time.

Instead of trying to beat your opponent to a bloody mess, you try to weaken your enemy just enough so you can knock him/her/it off of the platform you fight on. This is a nice concept actually, and is a little bit of a nice refreshment from other fighters.

1-player is simple. Just go through the order until you beat the game. This is fun the first time through, ok the second time, just something to do the third, boring the fourth. You also have a couple mini-games to beat with each character (destroy the tragets and board the platforms). This adds a little replay to the 1-player mode, but this is easy to beat as well.

Multi-player on the other hand is great. It is just like 1-player except now you can play up to 4 human/computer players at once. This make for some interesting fights that never get old. You can adjust the time limit, the amount of damage it takes to get the oppenent weak, the number of items that appear (if you unlock this mode), and more.

    Sound: 9

The sound in this game is quite good. All the characters voices make their way in here (Pikachu sounds like Pika, Link sounds like Link from TOoT). The music is tracks from other games that fit that particular stage (Classic Mario music in his stage). Overall

    Lasting Value: 10

By yourself, this game can get old quick. Its very easy to beat, the only hard character to unlock is Ness, and you always fight the same order of fighters in 1-player. Now if you have 3 friends, this game gets fun! The multi-player never gets old and no matter if you are a rookie or a vet, you'll be able to put up a fight. Sure, you can play multi-player against the computer, but it isn't the same.

    Bottom Line

Super Smash Brothers is the best (only?) 4-player fighter you'll ever play. If you have 3 friends to play with/against, this is definately a game you'll want to purchase. The game can be a decent 1-player game as well, but it just isn't as fun by yourself.

Friends who will play against you = buy
    By yourself = rent

Final Score: 8 out of 10 (This is not an average)
