    ECW Hardcore Revolution

    By Jorden

Wrestling games have always done well on the N64. But some were a big disappointment. Does ECW deliver or is it just a rehash of WWF Attitude?

    Graphics: 9

This is the games strongest point. Photo realistic characters and venues that will almost make you think you are there. The only minor down point is that while the blood flows realistically it sometimes appears at the wrong time or in the wrong place.

    Game Play: 5

Same old engine as the WWF Warzone and WWF Attitude games make this a very boring, for players experienced with the engine, or difficult, for players who have never played and Acclaim wrestling game before. One plus is the frame rate has sped up minorly.

    Sound: 8

Another strong point is the sound. Fans cheer and aren't afraid to tell you that you suck. If the teen language setting is on they will cuss at you. The announcer is good but he hardly ever says anything.

    Lasting Value: 5

Easy career mode that you won't want to play over and over again unless you want all the cheats but don't have a Gameshark or Dex Drive. Some of the multi-player modes are somewhat fun.

    Bottom Line

Stay away, far away, Extremely far away. Don't even consider it unless you don't own an Acclaim wresting game, like the engine more than WM2k's or are a hardcore ECW fanatic. Believe me, renting it is way more than enough.

Final Score: 5 out of 10 (this is not an average)

ESRB rating M for mature audiences (17+)
