In 1998 Rare released what they said was going to be the next Mario or Donkey Kong-That game was Banjo Kazooie!
Rare had created the newest duo to grace a Nintendo console.  First we had Mario and Luigi, then Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong and now Banjo and Kazooie.
Banjos little sister, Tootie, had been kidnapped by the evil witch Gruntilda who sped of with the little brat to her mountain top lair.
Now, Banjo being the humanitarian (or should that be beartarian?!) he is instead of leaving her up their in the cold alpine home of the Witch from hell decided to be a good brother and go up there and save her sorry butt from Grunty.
The action takes place over eight (I think) worlds in which the duo must complete puzzles and alike to exit the world and onto the next world.  The worlds range from a desert to the sea with graveyards and swamps in between.
The gameplay is amazing with plenty to see and do and extra to boot!
The quiz show you must compete in in order to fight the evil witch is hilarious and the mini games amazing.
The graphics are pretty top notch as well with some great water effects and the cartoonish qualities of the game doing it justice.
The game really shows Rares game making abilities off brilliantly and how they can make a completely original game.
With the game in the Players Choice range (For those of you who dont know PC is the Budget range including classics such as Goldeneye, Waverace, Mario Kart, Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie) you cant really go wrong with it!
