Yoshi made his first video game appearance in the game "Super Mario World" for the super nintendo. Yoshi's role in this game was to help Mario and Luigi rescue his cousins who were trapped inside eggs and to overthrow the evil king Bowser. Yoshi recieved his own game not too long after "Super Mario World" came out. Yoshi's first game was called "Yoshi's Island" for the Super Nintendo. In this game, Yoshi's job was to try to reunite the baby twins Mario and Luigi, and to defeat Baby Bowser. Yoshi also co-starred in many of Mario's games. He had a minor role in the game Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System), as well as Super Mario Sunshine the Nintendo Gamecube. Yoshi also starred in some other Mario games like: Mario Party, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis and Super Mariokart. That's a lot of action for an exstinct dino.
