Princess Peach has been in almost every Mario game I can think of. Her first appearance in the game "Super Mario Bros." for the NES. In this game, the princess was captured by the evil King Bowser, and was locked away in a distant castle, and was forced to wait until Mario rescued her. Peach was given an action role in the next Mario Bros. game called "Mario Bros. 2" for the NES. Her job in this game was to help Mario, Luigi, and her royal assistant Toad overthrow the evil King Wart, who by the way hates turnips. In the Mario Bros. Next game, it was back to the castle for Peach. She played this role in many Mario games including: Mario64, Mario Sunshine, and Paper Mario. She also co-starred in Mario Party, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, and Mario kart64. Princess Peach finally got to go on an adventure in the game "Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars" for the SNES. For once Peach was able to fight alongside Mario and stop the villan of the game, named "Smithy". Pretty good for a royal snob.
