The closest controller that this bears a resemblance too is of course the SNES controller. It has the exact same D-pad and Button placement and feels the same in your hand. It feels very comfortable and the should buttons feel. If this were for controlling Current-gen games I would have a problem with the analog stick placement but since the games it's made for rely on the D-pad, it's perfect. Overall it has 10 action buttons, one D-pad and two analog sticks. |

Classic controller connected to Wii Remote

Battery life/Price:9/10
Overall, if you are one who likes to use the Virtual console feature, this is well worth a buy. It can also be used in some real Wii games, so I guess having it can't hurt. Although you can use the Gamecube controller , games such as Super Mario World DO NOT work well with the Gamecube controller
As far as I can tell, the battery life while using the Classic controller lasts longer than using the Wii Remote, due I suspect to the fact that you are not using the motion sensing/pointer. The price in America is $19.99 is great compared to what I paid in Ireland which was 25 euro. |
