| March 26,2003 I'm in a pretty good mood today. I took my infamous test. The one that I felt pressured to do well on. It is one of those things where I think it could go either way. Depends on how serious they are when they grade it (it is geometry so it is all constructions and mine tend to be a little on the sloppy side). We shall see. The weather is great right now. Warm but not too warm. Breezy but not too breezy. My aunt Charette left today. Hope her plane ride went well. I have to say that I am really happy I've been forcing myself to say something for this on a daily basis. Even though, for the most part, it is boring babble about the weather or homework I think it might be interesting to use as a reference later. A perk to doing it on the internet is even if my house burns down I will always have my journal. That is kind of cool. I had a dream that I was painting my neon green room back to blue so the people who bought our house wouldn't be bothered with having to paint it to a more "likeable" color. Then my mom and I started talking today about good colors for interiors of rooms. I like color, I think people should use it more often. The world is not black and white. Taking Charette to the sunset celebration was fun. I got a kick out of the angle she took on the whole thing. She found it a bit too much like a carnival, which was interesting since I just read The Elephant Man and am a bit sensitive to the "freak show" scene right now. Anyway there is a man at the celebration (Who-Dee-Nee) that bounds himself up in chains and padlocks..all over a straight jacket..and then dangles from this odd tripod upside down. It bothered her, and it has bothered my mom in the past two. My dad and I don't mind it though. She was also offended by the uni-cycle guy who I agree is offensive and intimidating. There is no appeal to his act whatsoever. In fact, yesterday with his top-hat he reminded me of the guy from Clockwork Orange, which is NOT a good thing. Speaking of which..the term "ultra-violence" is rarely used yet we are bombarded with ultra violence, in every sense of the term, every day of our lives. I would list examples but that would be far too depressing. G'day! Back |
