A thought just occured to me. If I continue updating this page on a daily basis I could easily include a movie review section. That would be a great way for me to start documenting the..uh..movies I see. I am getting a little list-happy, I suddenly have the urge to keep lists of movies and books and whatnot. No real point, really. Kinda weird too.
Speaking of movies, there is a new Ted Bundy movie that will be showing at eight o'clock (eastern) Friday night on USA. It is called "The Stranger Beside Me" and is based off of Ann Rule's book of the same name. This will be the third Ted Bundy movie made. The first was called "The Deliberate Stranger" and was loosely based off of Ann Rule's book. It was a four hour mini-series and has never been able to hold my attention. They did not care to develop the characters (as though a serial killer couldn't be interesting?) and stuck to dates and statistics. The second movie came out in, I think, '99, and is simply titled "Ted Bundy." Stay away from it! It is totally graphic and a psuedo porno. I was unlucky enough to be watching it when my Dad came in the room...awkward silence followed by him turning around and leaving. The moment he came in Ted was shouting bad words as he raped two women. For one thing that is total sensationalism because that did not happen (and if it did Ted never admitted to it), and even if it did happen the movie didn't have to take that sickening angle...they dwelled on the sexual aspect rather than the detective cat and mouse chase. Oh well. Maybe this next movie will be better..if it is based on the book it should be pretty good.
A week and a half until Spring Break. I am looking forward to it.
Today I started my poetry section on the page. Hopefully I continually find poems that I deem worthy for the site. I think I should flip through the books I have to remind myself of poems that I have liked and forgotten. This site could easily become a mish-mash of poetry and quotes I like..interesting to nobody but me. Then again this journal is the same way.
Saddam has about four hours to get out of Iraq. I am worried that this war will go really well, too well, and the American people will decide Bush is a good guy thus voting for him again. That would be very unfortunate. Then again, even if they don't ellect him he can get in, its happened before! Gotta love the electoral vote!
I got a great letter from Michael Moore to Bush, I want to link it to this site.
