The Golden Pair: Mikado and Azuza

Mikado Sanzenin and Azuza Shiratori make up martial figure skating�s Golden Pair.
With moves like �The Couple Cleaver�, they seem to be the unbeatable Team.  Really,
the�re just a humorous one.
  Mikado thinks he�s god�s gift to women and thinks only of kissing 24- hours-a-day.  In
fact, his trademark attack is �the kiss of death�.  He kisses every girl he comes across,
even Ranma!!!  This, of course, majorly pisses off Ranma, and the two become enemies.
To top it off, Mikado continually tries to �steal Akane�s lips� throughout thier entire
adventure with them.
  Azuza is hilarious.  She is annoyingly cute and referrs to herself as �widdle Azuza.�  She
has curly hair and wears short ballerina-like skirts.  However, when she sees something
cute (P-chan, fish cakes, etc.)  she immediately takes it as her own and gives it a random
french name (p-chan=charlotte, random fish cake= francoise).  IF Mikado continuies to
talk while she�s naming it, she will pound on his back with tables, stretchers, or just her
fists.  I guess you�ve got to see it to make it funny, but go ahead and check out Ranma 1/2
manga volumes #2-3.
  In any case, Azuza takes �widdle Charlotte� and Akane challenges the golden pair to a
battle.  Ranma gets caught up in it too, as well as �Charlotte� himself, who switches
positions with Akane midway through.  The Golden Pair may be the unbeatable team, but
Ranma has never lost anything with the word �martial� in it ^_~.

Hikaru

I love this guy!!!  He is the most forgetable student in all of Furinkan High, and no one
knows who he is until he introduces himself.  HE has a big crush on Akane and often spies
on her, taking pictures.  And of course no one notices.  From this crush comes an
understandable hatred for Ranma.  Not being very physically strong, Hikaru does what he
can to get back at Ranma.  He ties a belt around his head with a lit candle attached.  HE
then nails a corn-jusk voodoo doll of Ranma to a tree or some other object with a little
tiny mallet. 
  Also, at one point he teams up with Tatewake Kuno to find out Ranma�s weak spots.
HE hides in the most peculiar places and spies on Ranma but eventually finds that his
weak spot is cats. 
  I think Hikaru is really cool because he is morbid as the bags under his eyes portray.
Also, I like that he is weak but uses other things like Voodoo and disguise to get at his
opponents.

Dr. Tofu

Dr. Tofu has a small role in the series, or maybe it�s just that he�s not noticed much.  In
fact, he�s usually there explaining medically what�s going on, it�s just that the spotlight is
often stolen by the more memorable characters.  He has extensive medical knowledge as
well as being an accomplished martial artist.  He mostly stays in his office with his
skeleton, Betty, although he occaisionally spectates a battle.
  Akane has had a crush on Dr. Tofu since she was a little girl.  She says he was always
there to help her when she got hurt.  However, Dr. Tofu is madly in love with KAsumi,
and I do mean madly.  Whenever she walks in the room he gets badly disoriented, and
goes rather mad.  Akane tries to be like Kasumi in every way in hopes that he will like
Akane too.
