Things That I Had to Do to the Jeep
Thats supposed to be parts and stuff...
Ok, this isn't a very Detailed Part of my web page yet because I really have accomplished many of these things as yet anyway.  But You will find a lot of more Helpfull Information in the Tune Up guide.
First, Before all else, I have some tranny work that needs to be done.  I think, hopefully, that the only thing that the tranny needs so far is a new reverse gear, But I have a really good 4X4 Transmission man who is going to be working on it for me in about a week or two I hope.  I mean I'm going to have him look it all over and fix whatever it needs but I'm not too worried about it, plus I think that while he's at it I'm going to have hime replace the clutch just for good measure.
Second, I have a pretty nasty Exhaust leak, it sounds like I might be missing the doughnut, but with my luck it's propably the manifold.  Well, when my tranny guy is down there I'll have him take a look and if its a cracked manifold, well oh well.  In my home town there is a Jeep repair shop No Excuses Inc, 1-800-923-JEEP (if your in NJ) and the owner JACK gave me a good price on changing the manifold, so I'm not real worried.
The Horn, the guy I bought the Jeep from had apparently screwed with the steering and when he put it back together the steering wheel was upside down.  So instead of leaving it alone, he spun the steering wheel around on the shaft and when he did he broke the horn contact assembly apart.  So I flipped the wheel back upside down and jerry-rigged the contact to work until I get a Grant steering wheel.
The Passenger side mirror snapped off the saftey brackets so I have to replace it.
I have to free up and replace the parking brake cable on the driver side.
The driver's seat was all seized up, so I took it out, redid the cable inside so that it would pull down, then I turned it upside dow reattached the latches and greeses her up so now its great!!
Back to the horn thingy, its like cancer, I think that the guy also cut out the horn on the right side and when he did he cut my headlight high-beam wire so I had to splice that back together.
