Everybody loves Riesz

I have complied here save states for Seiken Densetsu 3. Below are the files zipped along with a short description. As you can see, I have made sure not to use the same class twice so that I can test their strengths and weaknesses.

Game 1 - Duran, Riesz and Charlotte
This was my first playthrough of Seiken Densetsu 3. I liked this team a lot, and it is still one of my favorite ones. The final classes that I chose were: Duran - Duelist, Riesz - Fenrir Knight and Charlotte - Bishop. None of the parts of the game presented any problems, as Riesz's Status Downs and Charlotte's multitarget Heal Light made it pretty simple.

Game 2 - Kevin, Angela and Riesz
After playing Kevin, I don't think I will ever play Duran again - at night the efficiency with which Kevin rips enemies apart could almost be called an art form. I even ended up with Kevin's physically weakest final class, and was still impressed with his ferocity. My final classes: Kevin - Warrior Monk, Angela - Grand Devina and Riesz - Star Lancer. Still, the mid-game presented a few problems since Kevin's Monk class is not nearly as efficient as Charlotte at healing. After the second class change though, the game went much smoother (the Warrior Monk class is a good healer).

Game 3 - Hawk, Angela and Charlotte
This team had some problems in the mid-game, particularly because there was a severe lack of attack power in it. Hawk solo as a Ninja is not high physical damage potential, and Angela's Delvar class has a severe lack of potent spells. Once I got to the final classes though, this team got very powerful very quickly. Final Classes: Hawk - Nightblade, Angela - Rune Master and Charlotte - Necromancer. Split Image Slice dealt with normal enemies very quickly, Angela's Stun Wind was very good at silencing tech-happy enemies and Charlotte's Black Curse quickly neutralized bosses.

Game 4 - Angela, Duran and Hawk
This team also had some problems in the mid-game, notably the lack of a great healer and two relatively weak second classes (Delvar and Ranger). The end-game was pretty fun, but my only gripe is that it takes Hawk too many levels to learn all of his Wanderer spells (because he has so many of them). Still, the Wanderer spells are a blast and very useful. Final Classes: Angela - Magus, Duran - Lord and Hawk - Wanderer. In the end-game all of the firepower started coming from Angela's Ancient spell because I got pissed off at the all-to-frequent Eruption Swords and Death Roulettes. One Ancient and the whole screen was essentially wiped out. Since Ancient costs 12 MP and a Fairy Walnut costs 50 GP, I think it is a good payoff.

Game 5 - Riesz, Hawk and Kevin
This game I played without any dedicated healers, but it wasn't that bad. In fact, bosses were pretty easy once I got to my final classes. Final Classes: Riesz - Vanadis, Hawk - Ninja Master and Kevin - Dervish. This team had the ability to status up/down as well as use Moon Saber. The battle with Isabella turned into nothing but a slug-a-thon with three characters smacking the crap out of her. Against the final boss, I didn't even need to use healing items, as the status downs/ups rendered most spells and attacks relatively harmless, and Moon Saber allowed my characters to fill their energy back up within seconds. This team would probably have been even better with the Star Lancer instead of the Vanadis though (takes too long to cast all those stat up spells).
