I, for one, don’t know if I can do any justice to this part without redoing it completely.  But that’s not what I’m going to do.  I want to remember how I was when I started out.  Just please believe me; my writing style develops after a while. ^^  Enjoy.

Unleash Your Secrets

Chapter Four

‘Ignorance is Bliss, But So Is Marriage’

“A penny for your thoughts?”  A big man sat down next to Jaye.  She snapped back to reality and sharply turned her head to the left.

“Holy crap!  Bubba, you scared me!” Jaye play slapped the guy.  He was wearing a black leather jacket and a shaved head, contrary to the normal Mohawk it was usually in.  He also had on a deep blue button up shirt and black jeans, and a smile on his face.

“Well your eyes scare me.”  He commented, play slapping her back.

“Oh yeah!…forgot I had these things in!”  She giggled.

“Hey.  I thought you said you weren’t talking to me anymore,” said Bubba.

Jaye squinted her white eyes, “What?”

“At your friend’s part a few weeks ago…the car…”  He paused to let her jog her memory.

“What?”  She thought for a few more seconds. “Oh! Ohhhhh….”

“You remember now?  He slightly winced; afraid she would do the same thing as last time.

“Yes.”  She said shortly, glaring.  “If you are wondering why I said that, then kicked your…not-so-manly-hood-anymore’…it’s because you pissed on my car!!”  She said with fake fury, raising her voice slightly.

“Are…you still angry about it?”  He recoiled slightly again.

“No.”  She smiled at him.  “Come on!  So you peed on my car!  La-dee-freakin-da!  I can wash it.”  She said, waving the whole deal aside, now that she knew who it really was.

Dee walked up. “Hey Bubs!”  She hugged him over the counter.  “Missed ya, where’ve ya been?”

Both girls were so excited to see their friend again.  He had been absent from their little circle for a few good weeks, but knowing his shady character—and not knowing much about his background at all—he was known to leave for long periods of time.

“Well, it’s what I wanted to tell you guys…I’m getting married…”

“…”

“…”

There was silence.  And shock.

Then slowly, Dee and Jaye looked at each other.  Abruptly they squealed with joy and hopped up and down, holding hands, even thought Dee was still behind the counter.

When they stopped hugging and screeching, they asked Buba, “So.  Who?  Who is the extremely lucky girl?”

“Ah.  You don’t know her…”  He shied away the question.

“So!  At least give us a name!  Jaye insisted.

“Alright.  Her name is Dorothy.”  He got out his wallet, knowing that they would want a picture.

He showed a picture of a girl with long blonde hair and ungodly strange gray eyebrows.  But she was still a beautiful woman.

“She’s pretty.”  Dee commented.  “So, when’s the date?”

“Not sure.”  He said.  Simultaneously from outside there sounded a horn in three short beeps.  “Um, hey, I gotta go.  Se ya guys sometime, bye!”  And he raced out the door to his car.

‘She looked familiar.’  Jaye thought to herself.  She pushed the thought aside.
