Unleash Your Secrets

Chapter Three

‘Flashback: The Meeting’

Jaye had just served a large gruffly looking man his shots, when in walked a younger girl with long light-brown hair.  She caught Jaye’s attention only because she was dressed strangely.  The girl had on a long maroon dress.  Not many girls entering the bar wore something so plain, so un-revealing.  Plus, the girl looked like The Pacifist herself.

The girl sat herself at the bar in front of Jaye.

“Are you Jaye Heim?”  The girl asked immediately.

Taken aback by the girl’s knowledge of her name, Jaye replied, “Um.  Yes…” she paused, “do I know you?”

“No.”  The girl said curtly.  “I’m here to warn you.”

“Warn me of what?”  Jaye asked, believing it was a joke.  Did Khylie set this up?

“May we speak privately?” the girl asked.

“Umm…yeah.  Hold on.”  Jaye decided the best thing to do was close the bar.

After Jaye had shooed away the last customer, [who was the large gruffly man. He reluctantly left; apparently he was sleeping on the couch for screwing with his sister-in-law.]  She sat down with the girl at a table.

“So what do I need to be warned about?”  Jaye asked the stranger.

“Five men will start tracking you.” She started. “They already could be.  I’m lucky I found you before they have.”  She was speaking in a tone like Jaye was a relative, but she had no clue who this girl was.

“Why they want you, I’m not sure.  But you must try to stop them from finding you.  They can do iris scans from afar.  Always wear contacts, or sunglasses.  Die your hair; I know it’s beautiful as it is being so red.  Try not to use credit cards or write checks.”  The girl continued, not really stopping for much pause for Jaye to register the information.  “Don’t leave the colony.  They’ll be able to track you easier.  If you just become another face-in-the-crowd, then you’ll be much safer.”

“Who are They?”  Jaye asked; the whole thing seemed ridiculous.

The girl looked down, looking guilty, “…I’m afraid I can’t tell you that; it wouldn’t help you, anyway.”

Jaye asked, “Could you give me a description at least?”

“Fine.  One man has brown hair, and is Japanese.  One American man has a long brown braid.  One Chinese man with black hair in a small ponytail.  A blonde man.  And one man with brown hair hanging in his face.  They’re around your age, twenty-three.”  She kept her distressed eyes on Jaye.

“You do know this sounds is ridiculous, right?” Asked Jaye, disregarding the fact that the girl knew her age.

“Yes.”

“I mean, I don’t even know your name…”

“Knowing my name won’t help you any.”  The stranger replied, stubbornly.

“It won’t hurt me either.”  Jaye retaliated.

“I know, just watch out for anyone stalking you.  Watch out for the unordinary.  Be careful.”  The girl stood up.

Jaye stood, too.  “Is there any way that I can contact you for questions?”  Jaye asked, knowing the conversation was coming to a close.  She didn’t know why she trusted the girl.  Maybe it was the way she spoke so softly and to the point.  She wasn’t shy at all, but she still seemed nervous about being there.  She had fidgeted the whole time; maybe she was a nut-hose escapee.  But somehow, Jaye trusted her.

“No, there isn’t any way.”  The girl walked toward the door.

“Wait!”  Jaye exclaimed, feeling as if there were a million eyes watching her from all around.

“Goodbye.”  The girl left.

Jaye stood in the middle of the bar and shivered.  She almost felt like crying, but didn’t.  Even thought the story sounded like a load of tosh, she couldn’t help thinking that the stranger was sincere.  She had no doubt that there were actually five men watching her.

……………………………………………………

Yes I didn’t ‘author note’ at the beginning of this chapter, and I shouldn’t really be doing it at the end either…but to clear up some confusion (were you confused?)…this chapter is a flashback (as the chapter name says)…oh yeah, the other two chapters say ‘lone soldier’ on them…disregard  ^_^…I messed up…and that was the previous name that I was going to use…but so many people had that name…but to not discourage myself…I didn’t see if anyone had ‘unleash your secrets’…but hey…sorry if you do…^_^    one more thing:….read/review…or …read/leave…do whatever ya’d like!  ^_^

Have a day.  ~Ninii.  (PS.  Yes that was Relena.  I don’t care if I’m telling you…just be thinking about it.)(no I don’t hate her either, albeit, I still don’t like her.)
