Innovative Project - Coke Tabs Dress
The idea behind this project was to create a garment out of a material that is not normally used as a "fabric" for clothing. I used the pull tabs from soda cans. I connected each tab with jewelry jump rings.  I learned that by connecting some of  the tabs in an "X" formation, the garment could have the ability to stretch like a knit.  The results of my design became a sort of armor lingerie. Other materials used by  my class included gelatin, corn husks, film, and metal screen.   Click the thumnails to view the larger images of my design.
