RULE #2: ALLOW TIME FOR RESPONSES 
Wait at least ten minutes for others to reply to your post before posting again. This way we can keep conflicting posts to a minimum.
 

RULE #3: THREE PROFILE LIMIT 
All players other than the List Moderators can play up to three characters within the game, but no more. If we find that someone is playing more than three subscribed characters at a time, all of their accounts will be unsubscribed and they will be banned from the game without warning.
 

RULE #4: TWO TWIN LIMIT
A face can only be used for two characters within the game at a time. However, if you would like to use the face of a character that is deceased or unsubscribed, that is allowed, but must be approved by the Moderators first. 
 

RULE #5: NO STOLEN PROFILES 
Please write original profiles for the game. Copying characters, names and/or elements from other characters will not be tolerated. If we find that someone has copied a profile from some one else, we will ask that person to change the profile and add more original content. If the profile is not fixed, then that character will be unsubscribed. This is to protect the integrity of the game as well as its players from potential lawsuits, as I doubt any of us has enough money to be hiring Johnny Cochrin.
 

RULE #6: YOU CANNOT ACT FOR ANOTHER CHARACTER 
Just as you cannot make someone else do something in real life, you cannot make another character do anything. You may act towards them, but not for them. Adam can kiss Jordan, but she doesn't have to kiss him back. Likewise, if a character does something to your character, you cannot simply ignore it. If Sebastian decks Konstantin, Konstantin is going to have to react. 
 

RULE #7: YOU CANNOT KILL OTHER CHARACTERS 
Makes sense, doesn't it? You cannot kill another profiled character unless either they have unsubscribed and the Moderators have approved it, or they no longer want to play, have agreed to being killed and the Moderators have approved it. There is absolutely no killing of any character without Moderator approval! 
 

RULE #8: ONE CHARACTER MAY ONLY PLAY IN ONE PLACE AT A TIME 
Just like it says. You cannot have one character in three places, having three conversations at one time. If you can't do it in real life, you can't do it here. Sorry. *shrug* 
 

RULE #9:  INCLUDE PART OF THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE WHEN REPLYING
Just so everyone knows what the hell everyone else is writing back to, and to keep mix-ups to a minimum, we ask that when you post back to someone you include the bits of the original message to which you are replying. This makes it much easier for everyone involved to follow the thread.
 
 

RULE #10: LABEL THE SEX, DRUGS & ROCK 'N' ROLL 
Oh it's not that bad a rule! This is a 'Children of the Night' RPG after all, and we hardly expect things to be squeaky clean (in fact, we'd be just a little disappointed if it was) ... there is going to be violence, sex, torture and foul language, but if you start to think the sex, drugs, violence or language is getting a little hot, please put a warning in the subject heading. Just for courtesy sake.

There will be no foul language or other sex, drugs, etc used on the message board! Otherwise we risk losing our site. This is a one strike rule.

RULE #11: ALL PLAYERS MUST POST A MINIMUM OF ONCE A WEEK
This helps keeps the game moving, as we've discovered time moves slowly enough here without weeks of waiting for your fellow gamers to post. If you're going on vacation, be courteous enough to post a message saying so, and drop the moderators a note saying how long you'll be gone.

RULE #12: HAVE FUN!!!
This is a game and meant to be fun. Actually, this should probably be rule #1, but I don't feel like retyping the whole thing so it stays #12. Seriously, the reason this game exists is to allow you to be creative and enjoy yourself, so have at it.
