Before the struggle of human and vampire began, conflict between light and dark reached a seemingly dangerous peak. Most of mankind has forgotten their role in this battle. The result was the banishment of many an angel to hell including the arch-angel known as Reveris. He believed man to be an unwise creation, seething with its own sin. In the first battle he was severely wounded in combat with the arch-angel Gabriel. Five-hundred years later he awoke in a place of eternal fire. His figure changed from that he remembered, black and ash colored. His wings had been all but destroyed by his descent. He remembered only the bitter taste of defeat and was amazed at the toll the battle had taken on his force. He searched for the power that came from holiness and found himself severed.
After wandering hell he finally found his powerful leader who had thought him destroyed. He was taught by this demon the powers of sin, corruption, manipulation, and the dark. After his stay in this place had grown long, he began to feel the flood of tainted souls and truly believed that at the final battle they would win. The day after the destruction of Sodom he grew tired of influencing events of the mortal plane from his fiery cavern and created a portal. He strode through and promised the source many souls to come. Known by many names throughout history starting with Reveris, the fallen. In ancient texts of the Jews and then the Catholic church he is known by one name, Lucis, harbinger of corruption, insanity, and eventually war. Master of manipulation of men. If the texts are to be believed he stood at
the side of Alexander the Great in many a battle. During the Roman Empire
he was one of Nero’s most trusted advisors. He sat on the throne of Egypt
for over two hundred years. He served the Muslims when they planned to
invade Europe, and was lost account of when the dark ages struck. The next
and last successful sighting of him was at the battle for France during
World War Two. A French priest then medic was reported seeing a boy whom
eyes glowed as red standing beside of a row of panzer tanks destroying
buildings with a point of his fingers in Paris. Not much else is known about
this fallen as his tendency to change form and manipulate from the shadows
has made him hard to discover. Most records of him and his accomplishments
for the cause were lost in the burning of the Church of Saint Christopher
