| Isis is Queen of the Black Furies, a Tribe of
Werewolves composed exclusively of women. Not only
the Queen, she is also the originator of this
particular bloodline of werewolves, having been alive
for numerous centuries, and making her the most
powerful being amongst the Werewolf population. The
Tribe originated in Ancient Greece, and lays claim to
many great legends of female heroines throughout the
world.
As legend tells it, Isis was the daughter of a Tribe of clanless werewolves that had wandered into Russia, and onto the territory of the Silver Fangs. Her Tribe was slaughtered and she was taken to the Fangs King, Lextalionis. She tried to kill him immediately, which resulted in her being given to his brother, Kronis Scapeos, who happened to be the one she would fall in love with. But Kronos was concerned with nothing more than breaking the young Isis. To this day, it is obvious where her hatred of men comes from. Having escaped from Kronis, she joined with a band of vampire outcasts, for the moment putting aside their feuds in order to survive. They shared their dens, their lives, and their blood for more than three years before the call of her kin appealed more to Isis than that loyalty of her new packmates. She left them, but they had lasting affects on the werewolf, namely vampiric blood. The true affects of the vampire blood would show up later in one of her children. Eventually, the Black Furies would form from Isis' own blood, and in each of the children, was the dormant blood of the species they were blood bound to hate, the vampire. For years the Furies have inducted clanless male werewolves into their dens for the sole purpose of breeding. Never have there been any true male members of the clan, not even through birth. The Elders believe that through Isis' prayer that has lasted millenia, the Mother Earth has granted that the Furies bear only female children. And thus far, it has been true. Since the time of Isis' birth and her subsequent prayer, there have been no male children born into the Black Furies Tribe. Extremely brutal and territorial, this Tribe of female warriors has, for years, lived on their own, secluded from the other Tribes, growing stronger and larger as the years progressed. Isis brought her Tribe out of it's century long seclusion when the Council of Tribes formed. Her direct competition for the title of King was none other than Kronis Scapeos and his pack brother, Dragos. They went head to head, the three of them, and Kronos inevitably came out on top, in more ways than one. Soon after, Isis found herself pregnant with his child, through no desire of her own. Kronis became a changed man upon hearing that he would soon become Father to a child that had the potential to become one of the most powerful Werewolves on Gaia's Earth. Hidden deeper was the joy of becoming a Father that Isis was surprised to detect. Her opinion of him was rapidly changing. Paval Ligarou was born not more than seventeen months later. The Kindred were enraged, and terrified. They knew that the werewolves were getting stronger, but with a child such as Paval to encourage, and quite possibly someday lead the Werewolf race, would lead to the destruction of Kindred everywhere. Though others have there theories on why destruction
came so swiftly at the hands of the Kindred, Isis'
believes that Paval was a large part of the reason.
Kronis, Isis believes, died in the attack, fighting
off the Therion named Baines, in order for Isis to get
young Paval to safety. When she awoke, it was to the
empty feeling that her Mate, Kronis, and her entire
Tribe, were nothing more than spirits.
