Campustown: Cup O-joes
Small, smoky, spendy, this little coffee shop sandwiched between establishments more of the chain-store variety is a slice of pure 90's Generation X available 24 hours a day. Pierced and painted goths bemoaning the uselessness of life rub shoulders with the next generation of yuppies getting their caffeine fix via daddy's credit card, while they wait in line for one of the 20 different varieties of coffees, with flavorings to create even more choice. To double the offerings, any of those can be made with Cup O' Joe's very own Spiked! espresso beans which contain four times the caffeine of normal espresso. For those of weaker heart, Joe's also offers a selection of Nantucket Nectars in every flavor, and Crystal Clear water in five, ranging from plain to peach. Sandwiches made on foccacia bread in such scrumptuous flavors as avocado and sprouts and turkey and pesto can be purchased for the modest price of around five or six dollars.
A semi-circular counter arcs out from a corner of the bottom floor, furthest from and to the left of the front door. As many circular tables as an possibly fit are squeezed into the area between the front window, which is to the left of the front door, back into the room to the counter. A set of stairs begins halfway down the right side of the room, leading up to a cozy "reading room". Under the stairs is an open doorway leading into another room out of the noisy hubbub of the front entrance. In clement weather, six umbrella-shaded tables, capable of seating four people, are out on the sidewalk along the main road of Campustown.
Outside of the shop, SCCU can be reached by taking the main road north, while St. Claire is down I-90 if you head east. A 'sign' by the front door advertises today's specials.

Dizzy takes a sip from her chilled coffee as she looks across the small table at Jeremy, "I got the okay to take classes at SCCU, you know. I haven't a clue which classes I'm going to take though, or, like how many credits I should take. My schedual isn't as full as I've been getting some training from outside sources lately."

Jeremy dips his head in a nod and takes a sip from his patented hot cocoa, kinfolk style. "Mmm, maybe two classes. Just do something mundane. English 1 and Math or something ya'know? Do gen ed, its the easiest to transfer or retake in case ya got woofy crap dragging ya down."

Dizzy nods, "Yeah. General Ed was pretty much what I was looking at. Not everything was transferrable from California, so I've got to take a couple of classes over." She sips at her coffee and sets it down. "Jer, I need to ask you for a bit of a favor... actually, two."

Jeremy tilts his head a bit at her and chuckles slightly. "Sure thing, whats up?" Placing the cup down, he shifts it to the side and rests his elbows on the table, propping his chin up.

Dizzy plays with the coffe cup, sliding it around the table, "Well, I was wondering if you could, maybe, get me access in the safehouse. Like, to John and Core's rooms. And the second thing... well, how do you feel about Kit?"

Jeremy blinks his eyes once. "Access? Such as a key?" The kin asks, looking a bit perplexed by that question. "And.. how do I feel 'bout Kit?" He offers a shrug. "I don't know, I haven't talked to her in forever, I don't think of her, got too much on my mind."

Dizzy nods, taking one of those small straws and stirring her drink with it, "Kit and I got in a small argument, and when I saw her later, and apologized, she accused me of things I didn't do, to the elders, no less. So I'd like to get her back, but I'm not sure of where she hangs out, or what she does, stuff like that. What would _really_ annoy her? And yeah, a card for the rooms would be nice. I don't know how I'm going to get by the cameras, though."

Jeremy thinks for a few moments and rolls his shoulders into a shrug. "... well, the cards thing I can do, maybe. But um...Amanda, its probably not best to mix it up with Kit. She's deadly afterall." Shifting a bit nervously at the table, his fingers find a napkin and begin to fiddle. "How 'bout you.. don't try and get her back? Ya'know, maybe just be a good cub and get your learning stuff over with.."

Dizzy shrugs and sits back in her seat, "You know, after our first argument, I was a little pissed, but I figured that maybe it would be better if I just dropped it, made peace with her and all. But after she just through that back in my face, fuck her. I don't care if she's got rank on me or whatever. I don't necessarily have to _do_ anything, you know, if you've got some dirt on her or something that I can spread around."

Jeremy bites his lip and lets out a long sigh. "Amanda, please... c'mon.. " He asks, his voice turning a bit pleadingly. "Just let it go. She's just pissy, a lotta Garou are. Just... don't do anything stupid with her ok?"

"Of course I'm going to be smart about it, Jer," Dizzy says, shifting uncomfortably in her seat, "I'm thinking long and hard about this, 'cause, I'm going to, you know, make sure it counts, and if necessary, make sure I don't get caught."

Jeremy simply just sighs heavily as he rubs his temple, staring down at the warm cup next to him. He doesn't offer anything in response.

Dizzy puts her hands together and assumes a begging position from her seat. "Please, Jer. Please. If you don't help me, I'll be much worse off and probably _will_ get caught."

Jeremy thumps his palm hard on the table and jerks his eyes up. "/No/." He says firmly. "No, cuz' you aren't going to do anything. Look, Garou or not, listen to me alright?" He says, his voice not once wavering. "For the past tweleve years of my life, I've seen cubs come and go, a lotta 'em die because they just don't do what the Elders say. They do stupid stuff like hold grudges, or they don't pay attention and they die upon their rites. If you wanna get 'em back, pass your test first, then do whatever you want as their equal. But until then, you aren't in any position to go out and do stupid shit that will get you killed probably." He sighs and reaches over, sliding his hands over hers. "Amanda, I like you a -lot- ok? Please don't go down the same road Sophia did and just go weird on me. Just.. do what you are told, let it go and just be patient."

Dizzy balks and slinks back in her seat, visably surprised at Jeremy. She doesn't say anything, though, just takes her coffee from the table and turns it around in her hands.

Jeremy bites his lip hard for a moment and puts his hands back over his cocoa, his fingers slightly shaking. He grows silent again and sighs, closing his blue eyes behind his specs.

Dizzy sighs and takes a drink of her coffee. "I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow," she says, trying to break the silence.

Jeremy traces his fingers along the table. ".. Why?" He asks her softly, trying to clear his thoughts.

"Just a physical," Dizzy says, "Nothing special. General checkup and such. I don't think they'll find anything wrong, considering now that I've got uber healing powers and such."

"Just do /not/ let them draw blood." Jeremy warns her with a soft voice.

"Why not?" Dizzy asks, simply, sitting up and looking right at the kin boy, a touch of concern in her voice.

Jeremy grunts slightly. "Because, they can find things through genetics and stuff. I am sure our blood stream is a bit different then others. Just don't alright?"

Dizzy raises her eyebrows as she takes another sip, "But, it's the same blood I've had all along, right?"

Jeremy lets out a soft grunt as he rolls his shoulders forward. "I don't know, I just wouldn't risk it now that you've had the change."

Dizzy looks very concerned as she watches Jeremy intently, her voice a hoarse wisper, "Do you think I should call my dad, and ask him? He told me not to call until I was rited, though... maybe ask John?"

Jeremy nods his head at that. "Yes, talk to John about that. But honestly, I wouldn't do a blood or pee test. Just because through DNA, you can find /anything/ now."

"Geeze, I really can't do anything anymore, can I?" Dizzy asks, dissapointed, "I can't even go in for a check up without shit to deal with." She makes her voice deeper, in mockery of John, "No, you can't go in for a pap smear, because your womb has been changed to carry wolf children. Gah." Her look turns serious, "I swear I'm going to scream if this keeps up."

"Amanda, you are not a human anymore, you can't think like one all the time. Nothing will ever be normal again in your life." Jeremy softly murmurs, almost into a whisper.

Dizzy argues, "Hey. I still can do normal stuff. I can be happy, mad, sad. Date a normal guy that I like. Not that much has changed. I'm not some weird alien from outerspace."

Jeremy rubs his neck. "But people are ganna act different around ya', mostly cuz' of the curse." He leans into his chair. "As you get older, you are ganna be more and more in touch with the beast inside, and that will push others away."

Dizzy folds her arms, "Well, I'm going to live as normal as I can, as long as I have time left. Most of the time, sure, I'm in the roach house or the farmhouse and I'm all garou, but at McDonalds among other normal people, I'm gonna do my damndest to be just another normal person."

Jeremy smirks. "You? Normal in a McDonald's?" He teases her.

Dizzy cannot help but grin at that, "I don't know what it is about that place, weird stuff always happens there." She finishes her drink and sets the empty cup on the table. "Ready to go?"

Jeremy nods his head and stands, brushing down his jeans a bit. "Yes, I am. Back to the roach hotel for some loving and spanking of the kin?" He keeps up that huge grin of his, maybe Tom is a bit -too- much of an influence.

Dizzy grins, whatever is causing this change in the kin boy is a good thing. She stands and tosses her empty cup into the trash. "You know, I was thinking of getting my bellybutton pierced," she informs Jeremy as the go to walk out, "What do you think, sounds like a fly idea?"

Jeremy grins and follows at her side, shrugging. "Its yer'belly, go pierce away if ya wanna. I think it'd look good on you."
