McDonald's(#1393RJ)
A small McDonald's which is devoid of any sort of garish trappings. Instead, it seems to focus on fast, friendly service with a smile and good food. Above the counter to the north, you can see the glowing yellow billboard which details the food and prices. Behind the cashiers, a few people can be seen scurrying about near the grill, making drinks or tossing finished burgers down a small metal chute toward the cashiers. Along the side wall, children's high chairs can be seen, each with the grinning face of Ronald McDonald. A wall poster asks you to donate money to the Ronald McDonald House. Opposite the cashier counter are both Smoking and Non-Smoking sections for in-house dining. Fake plastic plants hang from the ceiling and below the skylight in the center of the room is a square wooden basin that rises 3 feet into the air. In the basin are live potted plants, including a rather stumpy tree.
A glass door on the western side of the fast food joint leads back out onto the street.
Kit sits in one of the booths designated non smoking. In front of her sits a 9 piece chicken nugget, some opened honey mustard, a large sprite, and some fries. She's currently reading from a paper back book labeled Earth Mother that has a Pentacle as the main focus of the cover art.
Dizzy enters the McDonald's grumbling. Hops was the one who wanted to eat here, why was _she_ going to get the food? Oh yeah, Diz is the one with the car. She walks over to the counter and looks up at the menu disgusted.
Kit doesn't take notice of the Walker's entrance. She has her back torwards the front of the restraunt, including the doors and the counter. In addition she's also reading from her book which she flips a page on before reaching for a nugget without looking.
Having given her order, Dizzy turns around to lean on the counter, where as she notices the Black Fury. The wheels start turning in her head and she almost misses the cashier asking for payment. Apologizing, she pays the kid and takes her tray over to where Kit is sitting. "May I sit here?" she asks nicely.
Kit raises an eyebrow as her attention is called. It jumps a notch higher when she notices who it's from. "Sure," she says wairily, forcing her features to remain neutral as possible. "What's up," she asks as she sets her book to the side.
Gracing the Walker's tray is a chicken sandwich, a large fry, and a supersized cup of ammunition. She slides into the seat accross from Kit. "I would like like to make ammends, or call a truce, or say we're even, or whatever," she explains, taking a fry and popping it into her mouth.
Benedict steps out from the small office with an empty register money tray that he goes to exchange with a side register that is be closed down for the night. Looking up from the register after pulling out the full tray he notices a few familiar faces. "Hey, I'll be right over. Eh?"
Kit doesn't spot Benedict, she busy at the moment dealing with Dizzy. Suprise crosses her features at the cubs words, but she puts it away fairly quickly, shifting her wait a bit. "Alright," Kit answers, even if she does still sound a bit bitter. "Why the sudden change of heart?"
[Benedict]
Benedict Bealieu Jackson. Blond hair... blue eyes. Five feet and ten inches tall. About 150 pounds of mostly sports-toned muscle. This Child of Gaia kinfolk is a goregous teenager, and could even look the part of an older, more legal, person if you didn't know his age off the bat. This 16 year old recently ex-high schooler is well built in the way multi-sport jocks tend to be. Benedict is decently tall for his age, thin, muscular, short cut spiked hair. Benny is definatly a decent looker. If anything, good enough to turn the heads of teenaged females and perhaps a bit of the older, naughtier, crowds as well.
Idly munching on her fries, Dizzy asks, "Are you really that mad that I'm dating your ex-boyfriend? Because as for the coke thing, you got me back for what was said back at the safehouse, and therefore, we'd be even."
Benedict just shrugs and steps back into the office to put the cash in the safe.
Alicia opens up the door and heads inside, strutting a bit with a slight smile upon her lips. She has on a backwards baseball cap with her hair kinda hanging out of it. Baggy jeans and a basketball jersey.
Kit frowns slightly but she nods. She's one for holding a grudge it would seem. "What happened to Sophia," she asks curiously as she grabs another nugget and begins munching. "And it's not the fact that you date the same guy I did that irritates me. It's that you said that I should stay out of his life so he wouldn't get messed up and then you did exactly that.
"Sophia had dumped him, and I am _not_ messing up his life," Dizzy says defensively. "He was the one that mentioned you, by the way. I am just trying to help him, since he's been so nice to me." She eyes her burger, perhaps she's lost her appitite.
Alicia pauses for a moment as she glances over to Kit and Dizzy, then shrugs, heading to the counter. Fighting over nerds, Pfft. "Yo! Hey stupid! I want a shake /now/."
Kit sighs and taps her fingers against the table with slight impatience. "I ment dating him," she explains with slight irritation. Alicia's call get's her attention. She turns and cocks her head, wondering who the Coggie is talking to and why.
About the moment Alicia calls out, Benedict's head shoots around the door way and looks at Ali. "You know how to do it. Get one yourself."
Rina ducks in from the street, one hand running through her hair as she walks up to the counter. "Hey. Um, c'n I get a chocolate shake to go, and... small fries? And a Diet Coke. Thanks..."
The teenager behind the register keys in her order and gives a total. "Three-seventy-nine, please."
Alicia smirks at him. "Listen ya lil shit, do I gotta Mickey D's tag on /my/ shirt? No!" The Gaian can't help but laugh as she hops over the counter and struts right past the teenager at the register, grabbing a cup off the wall.
Rina stares at the young woman as she digs into a pocket. She frowns slightly, trying to place the face... handing over the money to the poor McDonald's employee without even looking at him.
Dizzy glances over at Alicia as the order for a shake is called out, then returns to look back at Kit. "I fail to see how that _I_ am messing him up by dating him. If it wern't for him, I wouldn't be who I am. Who I am now, you know?"
Benedict looks now to the girl buying the food right now, Rina. "Wait... aren't you with... um, teh big guy?"
Cailet looks around at her surroundings. A little frightened she sits down at a table.
Kit sighs and shakes her head at Alicia before reverting her attention to Dizzy, who she sits with in a non smoking booth. "I didn't say you were messing up his life," she explains further.
[Cailet]
Cailet is one of those people that could walk into a room unnoticed. She goes unnoticed, not cause she has any stealth abilities or magic, but because people do not realize she is there. She is when noticed, exotic looking. She has long dark hair, she is tiny in stature, has grey/green eyes, and looks uncomfortable everywhere except for when she is alone. Most clothing does not fit properly on her, and she murmurs to herself all the time.
Rina looks over her shoulder, then, and a startled smile comes to her lips. "Um. The big guy?" She raises an eyebrow.
Alicia fills up her cup with strawberry shake and then glances over towards Rina, grinning. "Yah, the big guy. Hey Rina. Whats up?"
Benedict walks up nodding seeming to remember her now, he jerks the money from the kid taking it from Rina and hands it back to her. Punching a few keys on the register the order is comped. Benny then turns to the kid behind the register and says simply, "Add her to the list." He grins at the response. Only a "Sure, Big Ben."
Rina's smile widens a bit as she sees Alicia and Dizzy. "Yo," she answers. "Not much. Just bein' a slave to the whims of my mistress."
Cailet gets up quietly and enters the bathroom.
She looks back to the kid behind the register, and raises an eyebrow, holding out the cash again. "Ya sure?"
Alicia ruffles up the cashier's hair a bit and hops back over the counter. "Slave eh'? That sounds kinda kinky. Maybe ya can let me watch one day."
Rina rolls her eyes heavenward, briefly. "She's not into that," she says. The dark eyes shift back to Benedict.
Cailet comes out of the restroom looking a little bit cleaner on the face and hands.
"Then why do have a problem with me dating him?" Dizzy asks, unwrapping her chicken sandwich. She pauses, then adds, "There was a lot going around in the safehouse at the time... I just didn't want Jeremy running off again."
Kit breathes raggedly in frustration, throwing a chicken nugget at Dizzy half heartedly. "Just forget it," she says in mid swing. Unfortunately Kit's aim with the nugget isn't as good as it could be and it sails off to strike Cailet on the chest, leaving a grease spot as it drops to the floor.
Benedict simply nods to the girl. "Way I see it... you're family. Don't worry about it. You all won't even get near damaging the cash flow here."
Rina grins wryly. "Yeah, no shit," she murmurs. "So, is there really crack in the fries here, or what?" She leans easily on the counter, waiting for her order.
Benedict looks over at the thrown nugget. "Hey! I look like your maid? Try not to pelt the customers, eh?"
Alicia clears her throat a bit as she glances from Dizzy to Kit. "Hey you two. Can ya please cut it out? Not in public aiiight? An not so close ta' th' moon too." Her voice is a harsh whisper as she steps towards them. "Don't make me smack your heads together all cartoon style and knock ya'asses out."
Cailet a little shocked she giggles at the thoght of being pelted with a chicken nugget.
Dizzy eyes Kit with suspicion, "Well, if you can stop throwing food for a couple seconds, I'd like to put our past behind us."
Dane wanders into the....well...restaurant...and heads for the counter to place his order. Two Double quarter cheese with bacon, a large chocollate shake, and the largest fries on the menu. Then he leans on the counter and idly watches the room while waiting.
Kit sighs and shakes her head at Alicia as she stands, waving a half apology at Dizzy as she walks off torwards Cailet. She manages to raise her eyebrow at Benedict and crack a sly smile as she heads for the wayward nugget. "Really want me to answer that," she asks with a chuckle.
Cailet Rummages through her pockets and manages to produce a dollar. Whith which she goes over to the counter, handing it to the kid and orders a small fry's.
Rina glances over to Dizzy and Kit. "Hey," she says seriously. "Those things are /dangerous, man. Be careful."
[Dane]
Dane is 5'10", slender, with gray eyes and long dishwater blond hair he keeps tied in a ponytail. He's wearing a parchment-brown t-shirt decorated with the graphic from the "Steal Your Face" album cover, well-worn jeans, and Birkenstocks. A cotton shoulderbag, of the kind sold in head shops as "genuine Peruvian" carries what little he needs away from home.
Alicia huffs slightly and glances over towards Ben for a moment, then dips her head in Dane's direction. "Yo, weed boy. Whats up?"
"Here," Rina adds, offering a few dollars to Benny. "Take care a her, a'ight? Least we can do, for the nugget incident."
Dizzy starts on her chicken sandwich, watching Kit.
Dane grins and waves at Alicia. "Heya. Wazzup?
Benedict lets the kid at the counter head home now and as he leaves sighs. Not recognizing the new guy that just came in him gives a narrow eyed glance to the rest. "Hey, ya'l..." suddenly noticing that Ali knows the guy just grins. "What is this..." he looks around noticing that everyone in the building right now is part of the garou family, "What the hell is this? Take your sister and her entire cult to work day?"
Cailet looks up at Rina, and says "Thanks you did not have to do that. I really appreciate it."
Benedict looks to Rina now and just shakes his head at the money. "You might be suprised but I make more money then some people who have salary jobs here... Don't worry bout it. I gotcha all."
Alicia grins and heads over to Dane. "Nah' much. Ah' wantcha' ta' meet someone." She snags him by the wrist and tugs him over. "This is Ben." And then, in a whisper shared between the two males, she says. "Kin to our tribe, my twin brother."
Rina flashes the girl a crooked grin. "No worries. Just ignore all the crazies here, 'k?" She looks to Benedict, and notes, "Not everyone here is family."
Cailet goes over to Benedict, and says "ohh I can work it off for you. You don't have to do this. I don't want to be a burden on anyone. I am sorry."
Dane gives Benedict a grin and flashes a peace sign. "What's shaking, man?"
Cailet nods to Rina, saying "I understand. Family is scarice where I come from."
Benedict glances to Rina and with widened eyes nods slowly. "Ah. Well." Looking to Dane he grins and shakes his head gently. "Nothing but the milkshakes. Can I help you?"
Rina shakes her head. "It's no big," she says to the girl. One of the employees slides her order across the counter, and she picks up the bag and shake in one hand, the soda in the other. Sipping at her drink, she seems in no hurry to leave.
Cailet beams a weary smile at Rina.
Kit watches other people taking care of her blooper and growls to herself as she retieves the stray chickenlet and tosses it in a dumpster before heading back to Dizzy, letting the convention take care of itself. "Sorry," she says quietly as she thumps back down into her seat.
Alicia smiles as the two start to converse and leans against the counter. She peers about to everyone, then shifts her eyes around slowly. ".... Hmmm..." She murmurs quietly.
Dane glances around and leans in to stagewhisper to Ben, "Sure, man. You can tell me what you need to unload before closing, eh?"
Rina jerks her chin in Dizzy's direction, and looks around to everyone in general. "Hey. Anybody know if Gianni's back at his place?"
Cailet looks over to Kit "Don't worry about it. It is the most fun I have had all day. The past few days have been really wierd."
Cailet smiles at Kit.
Dizzy finishes her burger before she replies, "It's okay." She starts to say something else before Rina's question catches her attention. She turns to glance at Rina, then turns back to Kit, "So, what's past is past now, right?"
"It happens," Rina murmurs. The dark eyes are studying Kit now, not without appreciation.
Kit hmms to herself as she watches Cailet. "Wierd doesn't begin to describe the current cituation at this place. "Yeah sure thing," she responds to Dizzy as she turns her vision back briefly. "How're your clothes anyways," she asks idely as she scans the area again, taking note of all the garou in the place. All lower or equal rank to her, but still woe to the guy that tries something. She spots Rina's look and smiles in return, doing a slight evaluation of her own.
Alicia glances between everyone at once and simply leans against the counter, sipping away at her huge strawberry shake, all super sized with yummy goodness. Taking off her baseball cap, she lets her hair sprawl about her shoulders.
Benedict just shakes his head and grins. "Got a couple of burgers and about 12 large orders of fries worth on that tray that are going to be thrown out in about 20 minutes when the clean up guys get here. Ya'll are free to that." With this he moves around the counter through the side office and locks the doors.
Dizzy goes to pick up her soda and stares at it for a second as the thought of getting revenge on Kit blazes through her mind. No, she tells herself, she just agreed to put their past behind them. Oh well. She picks up the soda and takes a drink. Time to finish the fries.
Dane grins and nods after Ben and scoops up some fries and another burger, then murmurs to Alicia, "Anybody else?
Alicia motions to everyone in turn, whispering to Dane. "Thats Rina, Walker kin. Kit.. Fury Cliath half moon. Um.. Dizzy, Walker Cub and Raga." She head motions to everyone as she goes.
Cailet looks at the remnants of her burger, and the pile of fries that she still has. Thinking, at least she has some ammo if a food fight breaks out.
Rina nearly chokes on her drink, and gives Alicia a significant look. "Mind the jive-talk," she says lightly, with a meaningful glance toward the girl sitting alone.
Dane hmmms and nods as he listens to Alicia's murmuring.
Dizzy notices Alicia pointing her out and stands up, taking her tray over to the garbage and dumping it. Now that that has been taken care of, she walks over to Alicia, sipping her coke. "Hey," she greets the Gaian Galliard.
Cailet gets up to get some napkins, and refill her catsup. Then scurries back to her seat.
Cailet munches contently on her fries.
Rina sets aside her soda, then, and holds out a cold hand to Dane. "Rina Vencenzo, she says quietly. "Nice t'meetcha."
Kit doesn't pick up on Dizzy's thoughts of rightous vengence. She frowns as Rina diverts her attention and instead decides to watch the other occupants for a time. Seems everyone is connected somehow, minus the girl she hit with the nugget. Noticing Rina and Dane and the mention of introductions, she decides to make herself known. She gets up, following Dizzy , and heads over to the little congregation.
Dane smiles warmly and takes the hand, bows over it, and kisses the air an inch above the knuckles. "Good evening, miss. I'm Dane Morningstar. Alicia and I are...cousins.
Alicia smirks slightly with a nudge to his side, then peers over toward Dizzy and the others, continuing to relax. Now and then, her eyes stray off to wonder where Ben is, being the over protective younger sister who can shift into a nine foot furry thing of terror.
Rina arches an eyebrow. "Ah," she says eloquently. "Cool. Seey'around." She looks over to the others, and picks up her soda again. "Well. Don't tear the place apart... I gotta jet. Need to deliver this shake before it melts."
"Hi," Dizzy offers to Dane. "You like guys like that?" she stagewhispers to Alicia.
Dane nods and waves. "Later."
Alicia blinks once to Dizzy and sips on her shake, glancing up at her. ".. Um.. Eeh'?" She murmurs to her.
Cailet takes her trash to the trash can, walks over to Benedict, and says "Thank you so much."
Rina offers Dizzy a wry little smile, and heads out with her hands full, bumping the door open with a hip.
Kit frowns in mild dissapointment as she notices Rina heading off. Oh well. Other times. She remains silent for the moment as she approaches Dane and Alicia a step behind Dizzy.
Dizzy giggles at the galliard's response and waves to Rina, "Good night."
Dane grins at Dizzy....and chuckles at the question. "Relatives, Dizzy. Not dates. Alicia and I are from the same family....you know, cousins to your family."
Alicia rubs her neck and shrugs, then goes back to her drink.
Cailet eyes dart around... she looks at everyone and says to Benedict, "My name is Cailet. I will repay you some day for yor kindness."
"Yeah, but I _heard_ about your family," Dizzy says, leaning towards Dane and speaking in a hushed tone. She grins widely and taps on her temple.
Alicia blinks once and gets it, then shoves Dizzy. "Dude.. No way. Not with /him/."
Dane looks confused for a minute, then does an exaggerated "Ewwwwww, gross! Like, really BAD vibrations, man. That'd be like doing it with my SISTER."
Kit chuckles to herself in amusement as she realizes what exactly they're talking about. She crosses her arms and smiles to herself in amusement, content to wait.
Cailet blinks rapidly at the group. Wide eyed she backs away.
Dizzy sips on her coke to keep from laughing, but the grin is evident on her face. She shrugs at Dane's comment, "Sure didn't think your family had a problem with that."
Cailet turns around to leave murmuring, "Don't know about this cousin loving stuff. Better get out of here. They seem to like tossing food and LOVING family".
Dane mutters to Alicia, "Whoever's been telling her stories like that needs to be smacked." Then grins at Dizzy and waves a peace sign at her. "Hey...like chill, you know?"
Cailet pushes the door open with her berks and exits the McDonalds.
Dizzy returns the peace sign, mockingly. "Peace, duuuuude," she says with a laugh. "Did someone steal your mojo or something?"
Kit chuckles to herself in amusement at Dane's vernacular. "I'm surrounded by hippies and capitalists," she mutters to herself. "And they're getting along. How ironic."
Alicia smirks at the two and continues to sip at her shake, not saying a word. Nuh uh. No. Way.
Dane looks in his bag, glances around, and pulls out a baggie of.....oregano? (Must be. He wouldn't be showing it like that if it were more interesting...) "Got my mojo right here."
Kit brings her left hand up quickly to try and smack Dizzy across the back of the head warningly, frowning slightly at her comment. She eyes dane's bag with a bit of interest.
Dizzy knows what's in the bag. She just shakes her head, sipping the last life out of her sods, unaware of the attack from behind. "Sorry, I haven't done that since I was a freshman... in high school. I don't do that shit anymore."
Dane grins. "Hey, not your bag, that's cool. Ya gotta be you, yaknow?" He tucks the baggie away again and pulls out another baggie - this one with several chocolate brownies in it. "As for me, I'm in the mood for a little dessert."
Kit's hand conects only hard enough for a little bit of stun. It's more of just a light warning than anything else. She smiles faintly as she spots the brownies down in the bag. Been a while since she's met someone who could make those. "What else ya got in that bag?"
Dane winks and glances around, then says softly, "Only Gaia's gifts here....herbs, shrooms, seeds, and of course, homemade brownies.
Dizzy rubs the back of her head, "What was that for?" She asks in almost a demanding tone. It's a good thing she just finished her coke. "No thanks, /man/," Dizzy responds to Dane, still using the slightly mocking tone with him. "I've been clean for about 2 years now."
Dane hrms softly and murmurs, "Odd....I'd swore I'd heard this one was a cub....nobody's taught her manners?
Kit points at Dizzy's mouth warningly with an acusing stare. "I'm beinging to think the Walker cub machine is broken," she replies to Dane. "I really don't like having to do what the Urrah can't take care of, but sometimes we have no choice ya know?"
Alicia stands up and yawns, then heads out of the Mickey D's with a wave of her hand. She looks tired and its time to turn in.
Dizzy is about to protest, but instead looks over at the sleeping girl. "Who is she?" she asks in a wisper.
Dane nods to Kit. "Yeah. I know what you mean." He studies Dizzy and mutters, "Even lack of moon is no excuse for lack of manners."
Kit shakes her head at Dizzy for a second before looking over at the sleeping girl. "The girl I pegged with a McNugget," she responds with a shrug. "Never seen her before."
"Look," Dizzy says in a harsh wisper, a tad irritated, "We're in public. When we're not, I'll introduce myself properly and everything, but in public, I'm a person just like anybody else, so no manners to Mr. Pothead Drug Dealer."
Cailet gerks awake. Says "Ohh my. I am sorry about falling asleep." Hustles out of the McDonalds.
Dane mutters, "There's a difference between bad manners and discretion. And I do not do or deal drugs. Understand that now." (well, so much for the good vibrations...)
"Oh come /on/," Dizzy says, crossing her arms, "You're telling me that you were not about to just sell me some pot?"
Dane snorts. "If you can't tell the difference between Gaia's Gifts and man-made poison....."
Kit sighs and considers nailing Dizzy again in the head. "Not an excuse hun, and do you think he'd be flashing that in a public restraunt if it was important? How many dealers have you known?"
"Ever been to California, Kit? No one cares if you pull out a baggie of your favorite vice in the middle of a friggin' McDonald's. Hell, I used to light up right outside of one." Dizzy says to the Fury, ignoring Dane's opinion.
Dane pulls a brownie out of its baggie and munches on it, setting the baggie down in reach of the Fury.
Kit bares her teeth in anger as her rage starts getting the better of her. "This isn't California ya damn yuppie and you will mind your tounge despite the fact you're in public. You're pushing the envelope a bit more than it's willing to give."
Dizzy, being too smart ass for her own good, continues, "Hey, I'm not the one dealing in McDonalds, am I? If you two don't mind, I'd better be getting home, it's getting late."
Dane snorts and shakes his head. "Don't you just love it when people leap to conclusions?
Kit snarls a bit feraly as she stomps for the door and the outside. "Dizzy. Outside. Now," she says slowly as she tries to keep control of her temper. Trust the pissy Fury to fly off the handle.
"Sorry, Kit," Dizzy says in obvious mock truthfullness, "I can't be out too late, being a cub and all. You know how it is."
Kit stops at the door, holding it open for Dizzy. "Oh don't worry Dizzy," she says as she begins to fume. "This will only take a second," she adds as a dangerous undertone starts to skirt about her voice.
Dane tucks his brownies back into his bag and reaches out to grab the cub by the shoulder. "I would suggest listening to her."
Dizzy shrugs, hiding her nervousness well as she steps outside. "Thanks," she murmurs unconsiously to Kit, for holding the door.
Dane follows Dizzy and Kit.
Regan Avenue West, Downtown
For two or three blocks, between Thirteenth and Fifteenth Streets, red-brick apartment buildings alternate with the occasional small, struggling side garden or a small business. A pizza parlor decorates the corner of one intersection, and a relatively prosperous deli takes up space at another. Along one street, a fire station interrupts the other buildings, small but obviously in good condition from frequent need. Graffiti shows on sidewalks and on a few of the buildings, but is not prevalent. The road has been paved sometime within the last few years, to judge by the lack of potholes.
Kit heads for the dark alley next to the McDonalds. The streets are fairly empty considering it's midweek at almost 1:00 am. Kit waves for Dizzy to follow her, watching over her shoulder to make sure she does. She glances to Dane, giving him a nod of thanks.
Dane winks at the Fury and pulls out a joint the size of Baltimore. But when he lights up, the aroma is _not_ the familiar aroma of mj....it smells more like....basil?
Dizzy shakes her head, mocking, "Ooo. Here we go. Step in to this dark alley little red ridng cub. No thank you. Last time I did that there was a mean and nasty bane waiting for me. I'll just take my car, thanks." She heads toward one of the only cars in the lot. A bright yellow Volkswagen New Beetle.
Kit stands in the shadows and shakes her head, not moving. "No Bane back here honey. Just me," she says quietly waiting to see if Dane helps her out.
Dane hrms and hops up on the hood of the Pseudo-Beetle, sits on it, and grins at the cub. "You sure you don't want to listen when your elders talk to you?"
Dane exhales a nice cloud of smoke toward the cub as he finishes that question.
The poor little beetle starts making a rackett, standard car alarm sounds and such. Bee-woop, Bee-woop. Na-Na-Na. "Get offa my car!!" Dizzy cries frantically running towards it, arms flailing, "It's gonna get scratched!"
Kit grunts to herself in irritation and steps out to the corner of the alley, leaning against the wall as she waits for resolvement of some sort. The Walker elder is going to have to hear about this one. "Not even willing to accept any responsibility," she says disdainfully.
A woman walking by, across the street, pauses to look at them. Her brow furrows a little, but she quickly looks away and minds her own business.
Dane stares at the cub in surprise, looks down at the car under his butt, and rolls his eyes, standing up beside the car and grumbling, "Stupid PseudoBeetle has a car alarm?"
"/Yes/ it has an alarm," replies a very irritated Dizzy, "Now get off of my car before I call the police and report a vagrant selling illegal goods." She deftly pulls her cellphone out of her jacket pocket with a smooth motion.
Kit bares her teeth and starts walking torwards Dizzy very aggresively. "Dizzy, put the phone away right now or I'm just going to beat the shit out of you in the street and fuck the consequence with your elders," she says as her breathing gets labored.
Dane growls and reaches out to slap the phone out of Dizzy's hand, while grabbing for the front of her shirt with his other hand. "All right, I have had about enough from you."
Ellie quickly walks on, her head bowed. She watches, though, out of the corners of her eyes.
The car alarm continues to sound as Dizzy moves her hand out of the angry Gaian's grasp, but in doing so takes a step to the side, and he manages to get a good hold on her shirt. "Let go of me, PERVERT!" She cries out.
Kit almost quivers with rage as she steps up behind Dizzy and tries to knock her across the back of the head with a good old right hook. "That's it!"
Dane twists the shirt and pulls Dizzy nose-to-nose, where he hisses, "You, little cub, are sorely lacking in discipline."
Ellie's brow furrows, and she stops, letting out a breath; then she crosses the street, quickly. "Everything okay, here?" She seems poised, as she asks the question; her voice is steady.
Bam, Kit knocks Dizzy on the back of her head, causing her to drop the cellphone as she is brought face to face with the angry Gaian. The Walker cub screams out, much like any person would do to try and discourage an attacker when there are witnesses about.
"Hey!" Ellie moves to close the distance, breaking into a run.
Dane fehs and throws the cub into Kit's arms. "Deal with her, eh?"
Dane turns to face the intruder and puts on his most charming smile...
Kit quivers as she grabs Dizzy and tries to keep from throttling the cub further. "Dizzy. Stop screaming. Bad things might happen," she says as quietly as she can manage. The beast is lurking too close to the surface and she knows it. Got to keep from frenzying.
Dizzy struggles to get away from Kit so she can get her keys out in order to turn off the noisy car alarm and open the door.
Dizzy stops screaming, though.
Ellie doesn't look about to be convinced; her gaze follows the cub, as Kit manhandles her. The redhead's expression darkens, and she crosses her arms. "Hey. Let her go. I /really/ don't want to call the police, okay?"
[Ellie]
Probably in her late teens, this young woman nevertheless possesses a quiet strength; something in the grace of her movements, or perhaps the way she carries herself, speaks of an unconquerable spirit. She's a little taller than most, maybe five foot eight or so. Her figure is youthful but feminine, a shapely hourglass on a willowy frame. Aside from the pleasant curves, her face is probably her best asset: clear blue eyes, pretty features with a Scottish stamp, all framed by unruly orange-red waves cropped into a boyish chin-length cut. Her skin is pale, with a dusting of freckles across a rather pert nose.
Today's theme is frayed vintage-store chic: a colorful long patchwork skirt that swirls around her ankles, worn with a snug powder-blue t-shirt and her favorite Doc boots.
Dane gestures to the strange woman, "My little sister is being a problem again. Nothing to worry about. Sometimes we have to restrain her to keep her out of trouble.
Kit releases the girl willingly, sparing a glance at Ellie. Best just to talk to the elders first. If things don't change then she can have a better excuse to beat her. "Go home Dizzy. Tell Roger I need to see him about you."
Ellie glances to Dane with narrowed eyes. "Riight," she says doubtfully. Her gaze returns to Dizzy, and she shows a flicker of concern. "You okay?"
"Fuck yourself." The cub offers 'the bird' to the Fury in addition to the words. She grabs the keys out of her pocket and clicks the alarm button. Dizzy then scoops her phone off the ground and slides into the car. "As soon as I get away from these fuckers. And /no/, I am not related to either of them," she says to the woman before closing the door.
From down the street the sound of a car driving has been heard and now a van is in view. The Walkermobile... It comes up alongside the VW Beetle and stops, first out steps Roger. A quite confused John and Rina are there as well.
Ellie watches Dizzy intently, and then looks over to Dane with a flicker of anger as the girl confirms the lie.
Roger steps up, black trenchcoat waving in the wind generated by his fast pace of movement, some kind of large black metal instrument glistens in the low light of the streets as his jacket flaps out of the way occasionally. "There a problem here?"
Kit frowns and closes her eyes as Dizzy busts up the story. "God damn," she whispers to herself. Protecting the vale isn't the best job, but sometimes it has to be done. Then comes the Walker mobile. Double fuck. She turns her attention to the woman. "Are you going to tell anyone about this," she asks as she finally manages to get her temper to subside, but that's probably from the aid of the sinking feeling. Kit turns her attention to Roger, guessing he can see the woman. "Dizzy has issues with being courteous and making a scene," she answers.
Rina slides out of the van, jumping to the asphalt and following Roger. Her expression is dark, uncommunicative. "Deja vu," she mutters darkly.
John, for his part, moves quietly to the VW, and peers into the vehicle, after watching Dizzy get in. He taps on the window. The Ahroun wears a look of quiet concern.
Roger looks at the back clip of the cell phone, still laying on the ground, and nods, as if this explained something to him. "Yes, my daughter should be more careful about the /friends/ she keeps. Now, if I hear that you've been harassing her again I will /NOT/ hesitate to take the matters into my own hands this time /BEFORE/ I call the police."
Ellie crosses her arms on her chest, and studies Kit noncommittally. "And I /will/ call the police, if you don't let her leave without any trouble. Whoever she's related to." She gives Roger a look. "I'm not inclined to believe /anyone/ at this point."
Dizzy rolls down the window quickly as she starts the VW up. Both thankful and worried at the arrival of John and Roger.
John rests his hand on the top of the car, as he leans down to the window. Tilting his head at Dizzy, he grunts, "What happened?" Adding as an afterthought, "You okay?"
Dane shrugs. "See what I mean? She gets like this when she's in one of THOSE moods. Her shrink says all we can do is keep her from hurting anyone until she chills.
Ellie's brow furrows, and she studies John for a long moment, watching him; she takes a step toward the VW, listening in.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Dizzy answers her elder. "That guy over there was trying to peddle his wares," she explains, motioning towards Dane, "an' I've been clean for two years now you know. He and the girl got mad because I wasn't showing 'respect.'" She pauses, looking out at what's going on before continuing, "They tried to take me into that alley over there to beat me up."
Dane snorts at the cub's accusations and turns to peer at her curiously.
Rina purses her lips and stands close beside John, looking Dizzy over as if to search for any damage to the Glasswalker cub.
John levels two fingers at Dizzy, pointing at her warningly. "We /will/ talk about this." he grunts. "How did you show disrespect /this/ time?" His voice is low.
Kit crosses her arms and waits, wondering who's answer John wants.
Ellie peers at the young woman in the car. "Look... do you want me to call the police or anything? Did they hurt you?"
John responds quickly - very quickly, cutting off any possible answer - to Ellie, in a cold, even tone of voice. "There's no need for police, ma'am. This is a private, /family/ matter." There's recognition in his eyes, too. He turns back to Dizzy, waiting expectantly.
Dizzy lowers her voice and pokes her head out the window to make sure that John is the only one to hear, "I was acting like a normal person, and he took offence to that, despite the fact that it was in a public place where there were other normal people around."
Ellie swallows, and almost backs off a step as she recognizes the man. She gives Dizzy a questioning look, as if to ask, 'you're all right?'
Dizzy nods to the woman. "I am now, this man here is my brother," She says, indicating John. "Thanks for your help."
Ellie bites her lip, and lets out a nervous breath. "Sure," she murmurs, with a guarded look at John. She turns and leaves quickly, looking back over her shoulder only once.
Roger listens and moves one hand inside his trenchcoat, the sounds of a snap popping open is heard but no other movements are made just yet. His eyes are on Kit now, not her eyes, nor submissive to them. Rather, the Glass Walker Galliard stares directly at her chest where the muscles that connect to her arms lay. His breathing is haggard and rage ladden.
Rina glances sidelong to Roger, almost warily. She steps over to his side, and then glances across to Kit and Dane. "Aright," she says softly, "let's all just take it easy, 'kay?"
Kit looks at Roger with a bit of anger, but she waits for him to make the first move. He going to do the smart thing and ask them what happened?
Dane shrugs. "I'm not fond of liars, myself."
Roger doesn't seem to do anything, smart or otherwise just yet. He's content to stand there, ready for action if need be.
John straightens up - reaching his full, impressive height - and turns away from Dizzy and the VW, stalking to move closer to the others. "Care to explain how my sister lied, there, folks? And what greivances you have against her?" He looks colly to Dane and Kit alternately.
Kit isn't stupid. Any of the people present could probably beat her down with the exception of Dizzy and Rina. She decides to give her story whether people want it or not. "Dizzy decided it would be a good idea to call the cops and try turning Dane her in as a drug dealer for accidentally setting off her car alarm. Dane wasn't doing anything of the sort." Suprisingly enough she manages to keep her tone even and cool despite the low heat in her eyes. "That's why her phone is on the ground. This is after running her mouth off in the McDonalds over there, and we did ask her to cool it nicely. Also in the past she's threatened me because she liked a guy I had fooled around with once."
Roger stands straighter now, with John closer and relatches the snap in his jacket. After the pop of the snap reattaching he looks to Dizzy. "Is this all true how you see it?"
Rina blinks, raising both eyebrows and glancing over to Dizzy. "As the Moon Turns," she murmurs.
Dane nods in agreement with Kit's description.
"He was sitting on my car becasue he was trying to keep me from running away," Dizzy says confidently, opening her door and stepping out, "That was so she could take me into the ally. She's right, I did threaten to call the cops."
Rina's brow furrows, and she crosses her arms with a creak of leather. Her gaze returns to Kit, curious, revealing little more than that.
John folds his arms, now, watching Dane and Kit carefully. The look is very cold.
Dane nods. "That I was. When you smart off to your elders, then try to flee the consequences, you bring dishonor to your family.
Kit sighs and glances irritatedly at John. "I never touched her or atempted to bring her into the alley by force. Never said I was going to beat her up there either. I told her to come back there so I could bitch her out without causing a rucuss. Dane just sat on her car. We only took action when she brought the phone out and all she suffered then was a hit in the head from me in homid because I finally lost my temper."
Roger looks to Dizzy then back to Kit. "It is obvious that Dizzy was going to be on one end of a beating. The rage here is high and that human was worried about her... which she would have no reason to be if there wasn't a problem. What I want to know. And I want to know /NOW/," the word is like a loud whisper backed with rage that really wanted to be shouted, "is if this beating was going to occur before or after that cell phone was smacked around. And for another thing. You /NEVER/ touch the Walker cubs. Ever. There a problem... you inform them that you are going to bring her to her elders immediatly not some back alley where she has no reason to not expect to be smacked around, or worse, killed."
Dizzy is about to explain the reason behind her supposed dishonor to her familly, but says nothing after Roger speaks his peace. She meerly stands there, listening.
John just watches the outsiders, with his arms folded. His look considering and expectant.
Dane cocks an eyebrow. "There was no beating intended that _I_ know of. Between random accusations of charaching, smarting off the way even a homid her age would not be allowed to get away with, and her threat to call the police, she certainly escalated it to risking that, though.
Kit bares her teeth as her rage starts to get away from her. "I'm not going to lie. The thought did cross my mind on the way out, but I was going to let her leave. One thing is for fucking sure though. I am not going to take your cubs shit though simply because you're the big badass in town. I've tried tolerating Dizzy for some time now. You want to stab me with that piece of silver I think you're carrying, you fucking go for it. But somehow she has to learn that you don't go around insulting Children of Gaia by saying that they're charach and threatening Black Furies because she's pissed about some guy. I'm tired of all this crap I have to deal with whenever I run into her."
"Okay," Rina says rather quietly, "everyone just breathe." She takes a step toward Kit, slow and easy, her hands held out with open, weaponless palms shown. "Nobody's askin' you to take any shit. Nobody's gonna stab anybody, either."
There's a light humming coming down the street, a familiar female's voice. The echo of heavy shoes thud against the cement. If any look, they can catch a glimpse of Alicia beneath the street lights as she passes.
"Excuse me?" Dizzy speaks up, obviously directed at Kit, "Did I not come over to make peace with you?"
John doesn't move, save to lift a hand. "Everyone quiet." he murmurs smoothly, looking to Kit, now. "Only Garou threatening the lives of me or my own need to worry about silver. Cubs need to learn lessons to behave properly. But it'd be nice if I knew about these things so I could teach her. Rather than find out when she comes limping home with a scar, or some other hindrance to her effectiveness as a Walker." His eyes narrow, and the tone turns ice cold. "Should anything like that happen, /then/ you can fear this particular badass. Follow the rules, and no-one gets hurt any more than they have to."
Dane nods. "It is a waste of potential to damage a cub. Even an undisiciplined one."
Kit frowns, not liking the tone, but she nods her agreement silently as she looks up at the taller garou.
Rina lets out a slow, slow breath, and swallows. "Okay," she says softly. "We're all fine, here. The tribe will make sure Diz doesn't give you guys any shit, and if she steps outta line you can come to us."
Roger snaps his eyes to Dane then Kit and sighs harshly, "Just one more thing... Do you really believe she would call the police?"
Alicia heads over to the group after picking up on most of the familiar voices, sensing a bit of tension in the air. She runs a hand back through her hair and quirks up a brow. "Everything alright?" She asks, her voice a bit firm and tensed.
Dizzy gets back in her car. "See you at home," she tells John.
Dane says "She had the phone out and appeared to be ready to dial it. Given her previous behavior, I had no reason to believe she was wise enough to not do so."
Dane glances at Alicia and nods toward Dizzy. "Cub trouble."
Kit glances at Dizzy briefly before nodding an affirmative. "Yeah," she replies, not voicing her reasoning. She glances to Alicia and gives a small shake of the head.
Rina glances over to Dizzy, a swift concerned look; then she returns those dark eyes to Kit.
The Ahroun turns his head a little as Dizzy moves to leave. "Yes. And we will talk. Make no mistake, you. You're in trouble, for this." The directness of the full moon and those born to it starts to show, in a near-bristling.
"Riiiight.." Alicia murmurs slightly as she starts to pull her hair into a pony tail. "Cub trouble, what else is new." Glancing to each in turn, she makes sure everyone has all their limbs, then lets out a puff of air. "Its cold."
Dizzy nods and pulls out of the parking lot. She'll be able to talk more freely back at the safe house.
