Face the sign at the home of Carcharodon terrestrius. Take the lefthand trail. Follow it to a grassy four-way intersection marked by a bench -- and civilization dead ahead. Turn left and continue straight ahead on the trail. Make no turns off-trail until a No Access sign appears on your right. Turn left to follow the trail.

Begin looking, on your left, for the 6' tall snag in the photo (click it and watch it grow). Step lightly right up to the tree skeleton and reach down its throat. The small black-painted box is waiting inside. (If you lean to the backside of the tree, you can see the box.).

Catchpoints: just beyond the snag, on the right side of the trail, is a group of palm trees that thought it would be fun to have bananas foster one night. Not a good idea. Beyond them is a group of cut logs. And, finally, if you reach the boardwalk, the snag is 100 steps back up the trail.

To exit: continue on the way you were heading, and keep going straight.
