Red Brick Peachtree Pale Ale is an American-style pale ale. Brewed with Cascade and Crystal hops, Peachtree Pale Ale is medium-bodied with bright, complex hop flavor and a fresh, floral nose. Well-balanced malts and hops make this lovely amber-colored ale a unique and refreshing accompaniment to many varieties of foods, particularly spicy dishes.

Atlanta Brewing Company is the oldest craft brewery in Atlanta, founded in 1993 by Greg Kelly, a 12-year veteran of the Guinness Beer Company. Much of the brewing equipment was brought over from Ireland and installed in its current location at 1219 Williams St. in Midtown.

The Clue for the 99 Bottles: Peachtree Pale Ale Letterbox:

Like the slogan says, all roads lead to Peachtree. But in this case, it's Peachtree City rather than the famous thoroughfare in Atlanta. Your search for more beer begins where it pretty much all began for me: Line Creek.

Access to the Line Creek Nature Center is off Hwy 54, east of Peachtree City. You have to make a U-turn at the MacDuff Parkway light, and take an immediate right up the driveway, which will lead you to the parking area.

Follow the main trail to the south corner of the fishin' pond and follow the Mule Trail to the right. You'll go up a slight incline and find yourself at a three-way intersection marked by a green pole and an "arrowroot". Walk in the direction the arrowroot is pointing and pass under a low-hanging tree. Eight steps further, look on your left for a path heading 305. An arrangement of small logs, perhaps temporary, marks the beginning. Follow this path in the same general heading to a 3 foot stump on the left (surrounded by a young sweetgum, next to a pine). Look due north to see a fallen pine hovering 4 feet above the ground (cool trick, eh?). Go underneath it and you'll reach another trail, marked by a 6 foot stump.

Go left (310). Past a pair of parallel logs on the right, the trail turns left. A long, skinny fallen tree denotes the right side of the trail. Near this tree's stump end is a sweetgum that changed its mind, and a rock. Turn right and follow the faint path that heads straight downhill (at about 300). At the bottom,  the creekside trail goes left and right, and to your left a large oak is leaning out over the creek.

Stand at the big ol' oak tree and turn around. Three times, then three times more. Repeat until dizzy. Sight 125 to a large pine tree about 30 feet away. Walk toward the left side of the tree and go around the uphill side of it. Look about 12 feet away at 190 to another tree about 9" diameter with a smaller version of it leaning uphill. On the uphill side of this tree, cozy and snug in a little stone house... just sweep away the debris and lift the roof!

STEALTH-O-METER: Obviously, the creekside trail is not too far away. There is ANOTHER trail 50 feet further uphill that you should be aware of as you retrieve and rehide the box. Please move away from the hiding spot when you stamp in.

COLORS: Brick Red, Forest Green and Black. Or solid black. NO PIGMENT or CHALK INKS, PLEASE! Clean stamp after use, and before if necessary. There are some fine details that may become clogged.

NOTES to Self: Diections were formerly to take 20 steps in the direction the arrowroot is pointing to a path leaving the main trail heading 305. Four pines lead the way on the left, and two vines are swinging across the path, but the path is there nonetheless.
