| Garrison Hearst, who was believed by many to be unable to ever perform in the NFL again, has stated his claim for another comeback. Hearst was activated to the teams 53 man roster on tuesday after they placed rookie linebacker Jeff Ulbrich on IR. This is to be Hearsts' second major comeback of his career. Although this is a frightening statistic many claim Hearst is near the top of his game. Hearst will likely see no action this year but as you all know, who can tell in the NFL. I will however settle one myth. The niners will not carry both backs next year as fans are hopeing. The salary cap situation simply will not allow such a thing. Although the niners have been carefull not to disclose their intentions, they have made it clear that Charlie Garner will be seeking a 4 million dollar contract at the close of the season. With the cap problems we have the answer to that is a residual and resounding no way. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| For those of you keeping score that's 2 in a row! While Jeff Garcia was back to Mr. inconsistancy, our defense was everything but inconsistant. For the sceond week in a row they sent a message to the nfl saying they are not the same defense they were before. Jason Webster scored the games only TD with a 70 yard interception return. Bryant Young had two sacks again this week, and the defense is now on fire. The offense spitted and sputtered, but kept us in the game. | In an awesome display of both offense and defense, the 49ers put a spanking on the Kansas City Chiefs. Quarterback Jeff Garcia was 20 of 25 for 244 yards passing and two rushing td's. Charlie Garner had 102 yards rushing on the day. The 49ers showcased their almost unstopable offense. The 49ers defense brought their "a" game and helped to ensure the win. The defense recorded three sacks for a combined loss of 31 yards, and a interception. With four of the next six games at home our season is far from over. Have faith and believe in our niners. |
