| I�ve been asked many times, �How do you meet all of these famous people?� so I decided that I�d just make a webpage rather than answering the question over and over. Read on to learn the tips that have worked for me. First, the basics: effort, information, and patience. To meet celebrities you have to TRY! They�re not just going to walk up to your front door or fall into your lap. You have to FIND THEM. Don�t be a stalker and do anything illegal of course, but put some effort into it. Do research and make educated guesses as to where your �target� might be. Finding a needle in a haystack is a lot easier when you�re just searching through a handful of straw rather than a whole pile. Once you narrow down your pursuit through research, go to where you think the celebrity might be and STAY THERE. Don�t wander around, go to the bathroom, or leave to get something to eat � show up prepared, which includes having a camera and a Sharpie at all times. And by all means do NOT give up! The celebs you�re looking for are not on your schedule; they�re on theirs. Sometimes you have to wait HOURS, but if you give up and go home, you�re definitely NOT going to meet the one you�re looking for. Be patient and be observant. If you�ve done your research well, it�s usually just a matter of time before you see the celebrity you want. And if that person doesn�t turn up, know that you did everything you could and it just wasn�t meant to be. But make sure you do EVERYTHING you can or else you�ll be kicking yourself later thinking, �What if�?� A few other basic tips� Always keep your eyes and ears open. Observe and eavesdrop, but be inconspicous. Be polite and friendly to everyone, no matter how insignificant they seem. Don�t cause trouble or do anything that might get you kicked out of where ever you are. If possible be able to recognize �the entourage� (bodyguards, crew, friends, girlfriends, family, managers, dancers, band members, co-workers, etc.) because they�re often your only clues that you�re in the right spot. |
