| Debi and I decided to get up super early to try to catch Ryan arriving at work, but we didn't get there until 5:30 so he was already inside. So then we went out to the courtyard outside of the radio studio window and sat at Starbucks. Debi brought this teeny tiny radio that just had ear monitors (no speakers) and I had my "I <3 Ryan" sign that I made a couple of years ago for American Juniors, so we sat there FREEZING and listening and trying to get some attention. It was surreal to be listening to him and watching him at the same time, like "I'm actually WATCHING these words come out of his mouth." lol But we were really tired (only slept 2 hours) so we just wanted to be acknowledged with a wave and then go back to bed. lol So finally around 6:20 I called the studio and told the screener that we had come from the Bay Area, were outside the window, and were hoping for Ryan to wave to us. A couple of minutes later, Ryan turned to the window and started waving over his head really big. It was so cute! Of course we were all excited and waved back. Then Ryan like instantly started talking on the radio again saying, "It's 6:26..." which I thought was REALLY cool because that's my birthday, June 26th. It was just a weird coincidence and I was excited. lol We thought that we might be able to catch Ryan leaving the studio if we could guess the right exit, so after 9:30 we went up to the On Air entrance door. (seemed the most logical place) Ryan's bodyguard, who we had seen when we were there earlier, came out of the door and said hi and then went back inside. We were afraid that maybe he would bring Ryan out a different way (like the elevator in the tv studio) to try to avoid us, but he didn't. :-) The guard came out again and said that he recognized us. lol We said that we had been to On Air a few times so that's probably why. I guess we're memorable? lol We told him that we really miss On Air and he said that we still have American Idol, but we said that it's not the same and he laughed. Then he got in the elevator and locked it open like he was going to have it waiting for Ryan. SCORE! We were in the right place. *happy dance* Just after 10 am Ryan came out and immediately turned to the bench where we were sitting. He said hi and commented about how we had been there for such a long time. I guess he didn't realize that we left for several hours! lol We thanked him for the gifts and told him where we were from. He said that he was on his way to American Idol but had a few moments for pictures with us. We took turns and he said something about swapping, just like the first time we met him in 2003. As he was leaving I told him that he looked great in the black t-shirt on Monday night, and he laughed and said that he'll have to wear it more often or something like that. I hope he does! Ryan looked FANTASTIC -- perfect hair, beautiful green eyes, and a very tight long sleeve shirt that showed off his body. *drool* After he was gone Debi and I both said that we noticed his nipples! lmao We're so going to hell... but we're having fun along the way! |

| Debi and I went back to our hotel to get more sleep but we set the alarm for 9 am to go back and try to catch Ryan as he was leaving. We made it back to the courtyard a little after 9 and waited there for a while. It was a lot more difficult to see in the studio because the sun was out and there was an awful glare on the window, but we tried to watch as we continued to listen. About 5-10 minutes after we got there, an intern (I assume) came up to us with her hands full of gifts! She said that Ryan had seen us and was flattered and wanted us to have all of this stuff -- bumper stickers, a special "I think I love you" t-shirt (not the one from Wet Seal), and autographed pictures that say, "Thanks for the love" with his signature. Awwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!! So sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then the intern started asking us questions about where we were from and even offered to buy us coffee! lol (we didn't take her up on it) I'm sure Debi and I were just beaming, at least I felt like I was. A few minutes later Ryan waved again, and we waved back mouthing, "Thank you!" It was really cool. |
