| My friend and I went to see Diana DeGarmo perform in the musical West Side Story in San Jose, and she was FANTASTIC! Several scenes gave me chills, and my friend and I both got totally teary at the end. I've always loved that musical -- great choreography, great songs -- and I really enjoyed the entire production. It was cool to see Diana in a completely different environment outside of American Idol. She looked beautiful both on and off stage. I wasn't sure how I'd like her with the dark wig and the Puerto Rican accent, but I think she pulled both off really well. And of course she sounded amazing! The crowd gave her a standing ovation at the end. Anyway, after the performance there was a table set up in the lobby for Diana and her leading man (hottie!) to sign autographs. They were both very nice and looked great. We didn't really get a chance to chat with her very much, just a minute or two, and I didn't want to focus too much attention on her and ignore her handsome co-star. lol I told them that I was so happy the production came to San Jose so I could see it and that they moved us to tears in the last scene. They were both very appreciative of the compliments, and Aaron (who played Tony) even said, "Yes!" like he was happy that we cried. lol He also made a joke about it not ending too well for him, of course because of Tony's unfortunate demise. Come to think of it, Aaron talked more than Diana did! They seemed to get along really well and they were really friendly with each other as well as the fans.
