Death Takes a Halliwell
Prue is the only one who can see a dark shadow following a woman which turns into the Angel of Death when her time comes. The woman is one of two people killed by Seeker demons looking for Cole. He makes contact with Davidson, who is still investigating his disappearance, and takes him to the mausoleum for his own protection where Prue joins them. When the demons attack she sees the Angel of Death and fights him directly while Cole drives off the demons. Prue thinks she has defeated Death. Later at a beach where the girls' grandmother took them after their mother's funeral, she casts a spell to summon the Angel of Death. While dropping hints that her time may be sooner than she thinks, he impatiently explains that he is neither good nor evil, merely inevitable - and that she should accept that. She is not convinced but accompanies him as he goes to claim Davidson, who has meanwhile "escaped" from his protectors. The demons kill him and Prue does nothing to prevent it.
Later, after the demons have been vanquished, Prue is back at the beach. The Angel of Death appears. Prue tells him that she now accepts that he is not evil, but she still thinks she should have tried to stop the demons from killing Davidson. He explains that she was next on his list, and that is why she was able to see him when no one else could. If she had fought the demons alone she would have died. At last Prue understands the nature of Death, and accepts his inevitability. She lets go of her anger against him, and grieves for her mother.
