Just when Phoebe is about to give up hope Prue (who spends much of this episode with empathic powers) announces that she feels strong feelings of love when she is around Phoebe and Cole. Phoebe surprises him by turning up unexpectedly at his apartment and they wind up sleeping together for the first time. Cole seems to be torn between his feelings for Phoebe and his mission to destroy her and her sisters.
