The Charmed theme song, "How Soon is Now?, was written and originally recorded by The Smiths on a 12" 45 released in January 1985. It was backed with "Well, I Wonder" and a fairly wonderful instrumental called "Oscillate Wildly".

A version by The Smiths popped up in the film The Wedding Singer of all places and can be found on that film's soundtrack, as well as on the Smiths compilation Hatful of Hollow.
