Phoebe travels back in time to the 1920s to retrieve an enchanted necklace which is her only hope of protection against a curse placed on her in a former life by Prue's and Piper's former selves. Seems Phoebe did some pretty nasty things when she was under the thrall of Anton, an evil warlock. He's immortal for some reason and turns up in the present with the former life Phoebe (the bad one, remember) who has the necklace. Our Phoebe is meanwhile trapped in the 1920s and about to meet a sticky end. It's up to Prue and Piper (the present ones!) to defeat the evil pair, retrieve the necklace and get Phoebe (our one, not the bad one!) back from the 1920s. All very confusing, but at least Phoebe has the necklace now and doesn't have to worry about that curse anymore. In the course of all this, Piper discovers that she was married to Dan in her previous life, but that she had Leo as a lover. She realises that she has had to choose between them before and will have to again. Leo, of course, knew about their previous selves already.
