Piper falls ill with Oroya Fever and lapses into a coma. When hospital staff say they can do nothing more for her, Phoebe and Prue use an Awakening Spell to cure her. Unfortunately, this results in the disease being spread to other patients in the hospital, and the recovered Piper forces her sisters to reverse the spell. Leo uses his White Lighter's powers to save Pipers's life at the last moment. While still in a comatose state she utters Leo's name and it becomes clear that she still has strong feelings for him. Leo loses his position as a White Lighter because saving Piper the way he did was a breach of his code. He looks on the bright side, saying that this now leaves him free to battle with Dan for Piper's love. Meanwhile Prue gives Jack the old heave-ho and also quits her job at Bucklands while Phoebe signs up for college.
