Piper is worried that her newfound witchy powers are evil. After seeing a TV programme about the 17th Century witch trials she becomes convinced that she would be struck down by lightning if she entered a church. The nice pastor Williams (without knowing her secret, natch) tries to convince her that she's good. She goes to enter the church twice but chickens out. After a pep talk from Phoebe she does it for real and her mind is put at rest when no harm comes to her.
Prue also has a lot on her mind and is mulling over the implications of her re-kindled romance with high school sweetheart Andy Trudeau. She applies for a job at Buckland's Auction House and, despite an indiscreet mobile phone conversation with Andy being overheard by her prospective employer, she lands the job. There's more to Buckland's than meets the eye, however, and our suspicions are aroused when the owner Rex Buckland and another employee, Hannah Webster, privately discuss the possibility that Prue is a witch.
Phoebe is having no problems adjusting to her new witch status but she receives a lesson in the rules when the numbers disappear from her winning Lotto ticket. She had seen the numbers in a premonition and buying a ticket contravened the basic rule of not using your powers for personal gain. (Oddly Prue seems quite able to use her powers to manipulate the lift when hurrying to make it to her interview in time !) Let's just hope that nice couple at the news-stand, who Phoebe also gave the numbers to, got on all right!
