Itsy bitsy spider
Left the water spout
And wandered into Jack's room,
Knowing Jack was out.
He wandered through his bedsheets
And tiptoed through his drawers,
Then hid beneath his bed that night
And listened to his snores.
He envied him his cozy room,
His bedding and his toys.
But knew inside, a spider's
Not a little boy.
His home was in the grassy weeds,
His bed the apple tree,
But told himself that,'one fine day
Jack would visit me'.
