KING RICHARD II
21ST JUNE, 1377AD TO 1399AD
1ST QUEEN; ANNE OF BOHEMIA (FATHER; KING WENCESLAS.)
2ND WIFE, ESABELLA OF VALOIS.


1381AD =The Knights Hospitallers of St. John of
Jerusalem had incurred the displeasure of the populace.
The rebels under Wat Tyler directed their fury against
the houses and possessions of the knights. When the
mob, led by Wat sought a conference with the King
(Richard III), Sir Robert Hales, the Prior and Lord
Treasurer of England, counselled their punishment.

1381AD =June 13th, The rebelion breaks out.

1381AD =June ? Fire in London

1381AD =June ? Jack straw leads rebels.

1381AD =Tower of London; During the insurrection of
Wat Tyler, Richard took refuge here, with his court and
nobles. 600 persons.
1381AD =June ? Tower assulted, beheadings.

1382AD =Richard II married Ann of Bohemia

1386AD =Richard II, who "resided much at Eltham and
took great delight in the place," entertained king Leo
of Armenia, a fugitive from the Turks,at xmas.

1386AD =Eltham Palace; while wasting his time here,
Parliament sent Richard II a bold message and
remonstrance on his arbitrary conduct.

1386AD =Eltham Palace; Parliament met here to arrange
the King�s second marriage with Esabella of Valois, who
was brought here after her bridal, and set out from the
gates to her coronation.

1386AD =Richard II passed most of his time at Richmond
Palace during the life of his 1st Queen, Anne of
Bohemia

1388AD =Birth of Henry V this year.

1394AD = Jue 7th. Anne of Bohemia died at Richmond
Palace. Richard was so violently afflicted that he
"beside cursing the place where she died, did also for
anger throw down the buildings, unto which the former
Kings being wearied of the city were wont for pleasure
to resort."

1397AD =The heads of four traitor Knights were set up
on the Gate house of London Bridge.

1397AD =The Beauchamp Tower at the Tower of London
derives its name from Thomas de Beauchamp, Earl of
Warwick who was imprisoned here.

1398AD =Thomas Coggeshall co-owner of New Hall Manor
died, leaving New Hall to his son and Heir Richard, a
youth of 13 years. From there it passed into the
possession of a number of families, finally being
forfeeted to the crown.

1399AD =Richard was deposed whilst imprisoned in the
Tower .
?????? =Henry Bolingbroke appeared in St.Pauls to pray
for the dethronement of his cousin, and shed tears for
his father, John of Gaunt.

?????? =Richards body was exposed for 3 days in the
Cathedral of St. Pauls. He is burried in Westminster
Abby.
