Dreaming contentedly. Nestled between tall mountains, Kissing the bright blue sea. Born of the melting snowflake, The Fraser twines through thee. * Oh fair and gentle valley, Blessed by wind and rain. Carressed by kindly seasons, In harmonious refrain. This native child may wander, But Ill return again. * Return, to watch the seasons Slipping swiftly by, Blending our souls together, Creating a lasting tie. Wedding us all, forever, The Fraser Valley and I. * Springs fancy, ever gleeful, Creating uncertainty. Bursting the bud in maytime, From mountain to mountain to sea. Summer stilling the landscape, Swelling the fruiting tree. * Autumn, with Indian Summer, Splashing her colors around, Upon the fabric of nature, Blasting the sight with sound. And wild becomes my valley, Making my heart pound. * Oh, fair beloved valley Entering winters deep, That all the seeds of Summer, In safety you may keep. Draw softly down your blanket- Of snow...and go to sleep. |
