Close interaction with the people of Mendha (Lekha), a village of the Vidarbha region of the Maharashtra (India) reviled a great new avenues of the natural world before me. Holistic approach of these people and positive attitude shattered me. The people are Gond, tribal, who manage forest as there own. I was there for about 2 years.
Presently I am working for the Center for Ecological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. My areas of interest are very diverse ranging from music to, poetry to human evolution and history.
