The Gouldian is from northern Australia. They live in groups, are very sociable, and have many different mutations in color. The female is duller then the male and her beak turns dark gray during mating.

Their diet is seeds, insects, and commercial egg or soft food. During molting, they require protein rich foods, vitamins, minerals, soaked and just-sprouted small seeds, ect.

Gouldians nest in half open boxes or hollowed out logs lined with grass  Some are prolific breeders, while others require Societies to be foster parents. They lay 3-8 eggs and  are incubated by both partners for 14 days and young arrive in 21 days.
