Desert Tag
Supplies Jasc/Corel's Paint Shop Pro. Tube of Choice - For this tutorial, I used a beautiful image by Anna Rigby. Be sure to visit her awesome online gallery by clicking here. Accessories - Desert template, image from Microsoft Clipart Media, pharaoh tube, image also from Microsoft Clipart media, Algerian font and papyrus scroll animation. Please remember, when creating your signature tags, to only use permission art and to apply the copyright information on the tag. If you have purchased a commercial image, do add your license number as well. **When creating your Signature tags with Paint Shop Pro, do remember to save continually. Nothing worse than to use up your memory resources and lose everything!** CREATING THE TAG Step 1 Open up the desert template and the pharaoh tube. Make the pharaoh image active and go to Edit/Copy. Make the desert template active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. Left click the mover tool and center the pharaoh image on the tag. Step 2 Open up the layer palette and on the pharaoh image layer, move the opacity control over to the left to about 8. We want to see the pharaoh image seeping through the top layer to but we want it as an overlay effect so that the pharaoh image is blending with the desert tag. Step 3 Open up your tube graphic and copy and paste it onto the tag. If your tube graphic is too large, go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers checked. Do leave enough room at the bottom left hand side of your tag, to add the papyrus animated scroll. Step 4 Go to Image/Resize, using the percent option at 80%, bicubic and resize all layers checked. Step 5 Add your copyright information to the tag and go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Save this image as a jpg. We will continue the animation in animation shop. Click here to continue.
